We didn't like this temple at all. The central temple portions are sectioned off with a low chest height wall, so we could really only walk into the courtyard and around the perimeter of the "action". The whole walk took us maybe 20mins and left us feeling bored and unsatisfied, totally not worth the entrance fee. Strongly recommend to give... More

This royal temple in Mengwi is worth a visit if you are in the area. We stopped here after Pura Tanah Lot and on our way to Jatiluwih. A small fee is charged at the entrance. The whole temple is surrounded by a moat and visitors are only allowed to view the inner courtyard from the outside. The inner courtyard... More

The Royal Temple of Mengwi, dated back to 1634, is a complex surrounded by a moat and multi-roofed meru shrines and intricately carved wooden gates. Don't miss it, as the walk is amazing. You will get a chance to see villagers conducting mass prayers, bringing baskets of offerings. It's huge, so prepare yourself and wear your most comfortable shoes. It's... More

My favorite temple in Bali. While you aren't allowed to enter the temple sites, this temple at least allows you to get close enough to see what the temples are like inside. Beautiful buildings, beautiful landscape. More

Absolutely loved the lush green gardens around the temple. The temple itself is magnificent. There is moss growing on the walls of the temples which adds so much character to everything. More

Unless this is the first spot that you visit, by then you will most likely feel like you have been there as they all look somewhat similar. What's special about this place is you can go up to a tall tower and look down from it. If it's en route, I'd recommend stopping by for 30 mins, in and out.... More
