With over 600 works on permanent display, the museum is an important complement to the scores of public museums in Bali and the region. Each of the eleven pavilions is represented: Indonesian, Italian, Dutch, Indo-European, Exhibition, Indochina, Polynesian, Pacific, Tapa and Asian, with engaging and insightful articles by some of the world's leading art experts. Museum Pasifika: Selected Artwork of Asia Pacific is a tribute to the artistic and cultural heritage of the region and is a required resource for all interested in the fascinating and complex region we know as Asia. « less

I visited this museum earlier this year. I took the bus Trans Sarbagita to reach Nusa Dua, the museum is just a few metres from Halte Nusa Dua and opposite Bali Collection shopping centre. The museum has an extensive collections of paintings and handicrafts from Indonesia and the Pacific. The variety of the painters' cultural backgrounds and their attachments to... More

I really liked the old pictures of Indonesia and some of the modern Singapore artists. I lived in Indonesia and Singapore, so have an interest in their art. More

We went after reading the reviews here, the main reason for ranking it 3 was for the facility itself and the staff. We like art but this was 98% of what is at Pasifika, I wouldn't class it as a museum but a gallery, most paintings are from 1940's to 2000's, 80% of the paintings are sort of abstract Balinese... This new museum is a must for anybody who want to have an overview of paintings which were made in Indonesia and the Far East, not only by native painters but especially by foreign artists. The Dutch section is very good and has some very nice examples. Most interesting was it to see 19 th.C paintings and one by Isaac... More

For a long time we saw the arrows to the Pasifika museum and talked about going there after a friend said it was worth it. We finally went and what a great experience it was. We have been to Nekka in Ubud and I like that museum a lot but I do think that this museum rivals and even surpasses... More

There seemed to be a contrived effort to look grand and compare to the best when I visited this museum, which should strictly be called a gallery. It's not that I do not like it; I quite enjoyed the exhibits in fact. But the fact that it's trying to bring in art (mainly paintings completed after the turn of the... More

Very interesting and the staff were excellent. They have beautiful music playing and I suggested they sell copies of the cd. I believe it should be advertised more. More
