We did Maria's cooking class with another couple. 4 people was a great number. Maria picked us up in a taxi then took us to a market for a quick tour. The market is a real local place and a bit of an eye-opener if you haven't seen Asian food markets before. The class was within Maria's small house. Although... More

We would definitely recommend this experience. We had an amazing time cooking with Maria. What a wonderful host! Maria explains everything very carefully and answered all of our questions patiently. She is a very good teacher and we have learned so much . We felt that we got an authentic lesson in the traditional way of cooking the Indonesian dishes... More

This was the 3rd time at Maria's. Maria's cooking classes are interesting, informative and very hands on. If you want the real Bali cooking class, this is it!! Maria has created a fantastic business and welcomes you into her home, for the classes. We also have had Maria cater for a couple of dinners we organised with our Balinese friends.... More

My husband and I recently enjoyed one of Maria's cooking classes. She replied very promptly to my enquiry when I emailed her prior to our trip to Bali and arrived to pick us up at our hotel as arranged. We opted for a shorter class so went straight to her home where Maria prepared 3 dishes accompanied by rice and... More

My husband and I booked a class with Maria before we left Australia via email nitri37@yahoo.com she does not have a computer at her home so it may take a couple of days for her to respond if you take that option. We had a great day, took the option of the market tour 1st, then on to her house,... More

Just went for Maria's class+market tour today. Awesome experience. She picked us up in a taxi, brought us to the market and patiently explain to us the different kinds of ingredients at the market. We then proceeded to her place for the lessons. To summarise, she is really patient and willing to share everything she knows. We ate the food... More

My son and I did one of the cooking classes with Maria. I was well worth time and effort to learn how to do traditional Indonesian cooking with someone who is passionate about her food. As I love to cook for my wife and family, it was good to learn new tastes and dishes that I know my wife will... More
