I came to pro surf three times: in 2006, 2008 and 2014 and I love it. The staff is just great, attentive and always taking you a wave further. You get theoretical lessons each time before going out surfing which improves your understanding of tide, swell, waves and other conditions affecting your surf experience. You stand on the board on... More

Pro surf is incredible. Both for learning to surf and for staying in Kuta. Great rooms, great food, massive pool and perfect location right at the beach. Will be back!

My 10 year old daughter had her first surf lessons there. The school is very well run and organized but also relaxed and friendly. Instructors were professional as well as caring and the facilities were very welcoming to those not surfing. So if you want to hide away from the kuta beach hawkers and just chill out the bar/lounge is... More

My boyfriend and I took a beginner surf lesson from Pro Surf School during our stay in Bali. Neither of us had any previous surfing experience. The lesson began with about 30-45mins of theory and out-of-water practice on the beach across the street from the surf school. The instructors were very friendly, helpful and kind. After this, we went out... More

We started with beginning 1 as neither one if us had ever been on a surfboard before. The class is approx 2.5 hrs long. We started a bit late as we waited for some ppl that were stuck in traffic, traffic can be bad in Kuta, always give yourself an extra 30mins. The first part of the class is indoors,... More

Really enjoyed my lesson with ProSurf. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly, but with a maximum of 3 pupils for each teacher there was plenty of personal attention. The lesson was split into 3 sections - theory in a room overlooking the beach, first steps in the water and then after a short break there were some more tips... More

After reading great reviews on tripadvisor and seeing its listing in Lonely Planet, my boyfriend and I booked three days of lessons, starting at the "Beginner 1" level. We only completed the first two days as we were so disappointed with the service that we didn't want to continue and instead asked for a refund. Details of pros/cons are below... More

Me and my partner are absolute beginners at surfing and we booked 2 lessons. They were very patient and taught us the basics as well as ensuring our safety in a 'theory', then we went and practised standing up on a board on the beach, then went into the sea. The teachers were excellent and made me feel safe, as... More

Decided to join Pro surf school for 3 days at beginner 1 level as I had never surfed before. The first session consists of a theory and then surfing out at sea straight away. After the session, the instructors decide whether you can move up or stay in S1 where you do practice in the pool. The 3rd day we... More
