Nyoman and his brother created a concept which plunges you deep into several aspects of authentic and untouched Balinese culture and gastronomy. One of the three highlights of our trip to Bali, this was one of the best spent day of our vacation. We arrived in the hotel with a feeling of having left a little piece of paradise (the... More

Pickup in Ubud and a trip to the local marked were included in this fantastic cooking class. This cooking school is outstanding from the others because you harvest the veggies in field yourself and the scenery were you cook is above a beautiful rice field. The host is very friendly and the food is delicious!

This was amazing! Best food we had for the whole trip. We learnt how to make about 5-6 dishes, all using traditional methods and a fire stove. After visiting a locals market we picked the vegetables and learnt about the flavours and it was such a food education! Any foodie will love this. Me and my family had the whole... More

When visiting other countries I think it is really important to get away from the tourist bubble and get to know what a country is really about. With this tour we did just that... Not only did we learn how to prepare many delicious Balinese dishes but we also learned a lot about the culture. We were given a glimpse... More

We shared a great moment with all the family. Not only a very instructive cooking class (very nice things cooked) but also a cultural discovery: traditional market with the chief, walking in the ricefields of the family, cooking and eating great and various recipes. Typical, not touristic, in a quiet place: we really enjoyed it!

Just returned from the cooking classes which is definitely in my top 3 things I have done since arriving in Bali! Authentic, friendly with delicious food, topped off with a breathtaking view of the rice paddies fields, with the extra luck of actualy being taken through them! The host is a lovely man who takes you to the market, talks... More

A fantastic way to spend the day - a nice start at the market, a quick tour through a traditional Balinese family home and temple, a short trek through the rice fields digging up goodies from the veggie patch, and finally getting our hands dirty with the cook! Well worth the work rewarded with delicious authentic Balinese food.

This tour had so much more to offer than doing a class in the kitchen of a commercial restaurant. We had an excellent day the day before yesterday, not least the enthusiastic chook keeping and gardening discussion between my husband and the owner. The tour, small band of lady helpers and venue were charming (and a good loo at the... More

We visited Green Kitchen a couple of years ago and did the Vegetarian class, as our son was freshly turned vegetarian. We are adventurous cooks at home and were able to cook all of the recipes on our return to Perth - where all of the produce used is available fresh or frozen in asian food stores. We thoroughly enjoyed... More
