Went with a group of 4 friends and enjoyed the experience immensely. I've been to Bali many times in the past and this has been one of my favorite experiences - a taste of local culture and food. The farm has a beautiful backdrop of rice paddies and a nice breeze. Food was spectacular and our hosts were wonderful. Book... More

To start: this was my first cooking class and I do love cooking so I was quite curious what to expect, especially given the fact that we are on a crazy touristy island called Bali! I will spare the details: this day was simply amazing! After visiting the (very local) market and buying key ingredients we were taken to their... More

We got to pick vegetables from a farmers field, help chop the ingredients and do some of the cooking. What more can you ask for? This is an intimate tour I will always remember. There were 8 travelers. After Gynomen taught us how to cook authentic food and shared his wisdom with us about love and relationships, we all went... More

This was honestly the best experience I have had so far in Bali. The whole day was just wonderful. It is in a beautiful location (a bit of a drive away from ubud ) and it's so authentic. You pick the vegetables from the garden and he tells you about different plants, spices and just gives you a whole load... More

We spent a splendid day with Nyoman and Jero of Green Kitchen, a cooking class that introduced us to traditional Balinese cooking over wood fires in Sideman, eastern Bali. We were thrilled with the quality and clarity of the instruction, the cultural and food knowledge shared, the variety of delicious dishes, the Klungkung market visit en route, the lovely and... Yuka and his family were wonderful hosts. The full day was so memorable -- from conversation in the car on the way there from Ubud (about 40mins) to our walk through the rice fields, vegetable garden, and then to the garden kitchen for cooking. The food was beautiful -- being a coconut addict, I was in heaven with fresh coconut... More

If you are looking for a Bali experience, away from the heat and multitudes of tourists etc, this is worth considering. I wanted to do a Balinese cooking course and was fortunate to find the green kitchen in my search on-line. Cero picked us up on time from our hotel and was very polite. He took us to his local... A review cannot do this experience justice. The food was beyond incredible, our hosts gracious, courteous, helpful and wonderful chefs. The entire experience was beyond belief. We were picked up from our hotel, visited the market place en route to our kitchen, we trekked through rice fields and veggie patches to harvest our own vegetables for the cooking class. We... More

This was an authentic experience of cooking organic food in a traditional Balinese outdoor kitchen. With Nyoman in the lead, we were given an excellent 5 hour journey through a local market, his home, his garden where we picked food for the 7 course meal. We made the meal from scratch with Nyoman and his brother's patient direction. Then we... More

Don't miss this - no other cooking class compares. Such a memorable day, learning new recipes and cooking techniques, visiting the market, experiencing the real countryside. Cero & his family have created something simple and wonderful.
