My friend and I spent the day with the brother of the founder of Green Kitchen. We loved every minute of the experience--a totally authentic way to experience Bali & great way to learn more about the local dishes! It's not your standard restaurant cooking class--we went into an authentic marketplace, to his home, into the rice fields (outfitted with... More

What a great day it was, there were 2 of us doing the cooking school and were blown away by the food selection (non-vegetarian). Kakul the gentleman which took us through firstly the a local market whilst pointing out the local culture (religious) and also buying unusual fruits for us to try. He then took us through his paddy field... More

We had the best time at the Green Kitchen Cooking class. There were four of us total and we did the vegetarian menu. All of the food was delicious and the class was really informative. We learned how to make coconut milk and picked vegetables from the garden to cook with, including peanuts, adzuki beans and Balinese eggplants. The Klungkung... More

Really friendly guy showed us around local market in a more quiet area of Bali, saw only local people selling and buying produice! Really friendly & relaxed atmosphere, would be happy to go shopping there every day for a good batch of fresh fruit & veggies instead of the busy Ubud central market. After the market we picked our produce... More

Booked in after reading review on here. Only two of us. Got picked up at 7:30 am from our Hotel in Nusa Dua. Was driven for about 1.5 hrs. Was taken to a local market, which was a little bit intimidating but an eye opener on local culture. Then was taken for a walk through the rice fields where we... More

Definately a highlight. We learned about Bali culture, walked the farm and picked ingredients for lunch, then worked for a very long time cooking a crazy complicated and super tasty meal of 5 or 6 different dishes. These guys know their stuff and are very friendly. Highly highly recommended.

Even if cooking is not your most favourite thing, you should really spend a day at Green Kitchen Bali. After visiting the market and picking some fresh vegetables from the garden you learn how to cook some traditional vegetarian or non-vegetarian dishes. The great thing is that you will be cooking in the chef's garden with a wonderful view on... More

Must If You are around ubud. This cookingclass is fantastic. Unlike other cookingclass classes in Ubud town, this One is on the countryside in Bali, The real deal! You go to local MARKET see and taste local herbs and fruits. Taking herbs from his own family garden and the cookingclass takes place next to a tempel, in The Middle of... More

I visited the Green kitchen while on a retreat in Bali and the experience was amazing. We met Kekul at the market where we were able to purchase snacks and see the locals prepare for the full moon ceremony. Then it was off to his house then a trek through the rice fields, picking fresh vegetables then up to his... More

We did the class with Kekul who is so wonderfully supported by his family. There were 4 of us and he collected us from Ubud and took us to family home to see where they live and we met his lovely mother too. On the way, we stopped at the markets which are very traditional - no sights of other... More
