The zoo was okay. But two things left me walking out in tears and absolutely disgusted in the place! ...Lined up to get a photo with the baby orang-utan... the poor thing had been there for hours tied up and forced to take photo's ....you could tell how tired and exhausted he was and they were rough with him when... First visit to Bali Zoo and absolutely had a great time. The staff have an absolute passion for their jobs and a real love for their animals. They were all more than happy to stop and explain anything about the zoo and it's tenants. Only downside could be that it ends up being an expensive day if you don't keep... More

I'm so pleased I visited Bali zoo in April. Beautiful setting, friendly helpful staff, animals happy and well cared for. Some reviewers didn't like the cages, but the point is that the owner has apparently devoted his own resources to help save some endangered or threatened species. So I take my hat off to him! I particularly loved the Sumatran... More

We do not get very often the possibility to ride elefants back home, and that is why we decided to stop by the Bali Zoo on our way to Ubud. With two adults and two kids, the zoo entrance combined with the long (30 minutes) elefant trek left us 280 US dollar poorer. This place is cleverly set up so... More

We found the Bali zoo disappointing. Nothing really impressive about it. We were there with our children ages 5 and 6 and the best part was the petting zoo and feeding the elephants. If you have your heart set on an elephant ride, it's ok, otherwise, don't waste your time here. There are so many other wonderful places in Bali... More

Very expensive for the amount of attractions listed or on offer. The staff didnt look to bothered so a lot of people including us left and went to the Safari & Marine Park.

Was a bit apprehensive about visiting the zoo but the look on my little boys face as we rode and then feed the elephants, I was soo glad we went. Thought it was good value price wise and worth the visit, very hands on and great if you have kids. Some of the enclosures little more than cages but hopefully... More

This was our 5th visit to the zoo and the second at night. We looked it. The meal was not as good as last time, but mass produced rearly ever is great. Don't plan on buying the picutres as they are really expensive being $15 each, take lots of your own. It's a good idea to take a torch if... More
