The birth place is a small room ( it was a prison ) now somewhat renovated . You get the spiritual feeling the moment you enter the premises . Must spend quality time inside the temple and also enjoy some Bhajan & Kirtans at the main hall

Lord Krishna's birth place- popularly known as the janambhoomi surrounds itself with a mosque. While a Hindu Brahman guide takes you around the temple showing you some of the most beautiful and unknown area's of Indian mythological world, you get to see a beautiful tall mosque reminding you of Mugal era and complexities of Indian history. There is so much... More

I visit Mathura, Vrindaban, Govardhan twice a year with family. The mosque and the Janambhumi are side by side. The area is well maintained complex with very tight security at the entrance. Cameras, electronic items, phones, matches are not allowed into the complex. Serene environment inside the Garbh Griha.

be ready to walk for visit to this temple. And do take the boat ride. The temple closes in the afternoon. So make sure that you visit early or then late. Nice place. No difficulties in approaching. amongst the places mentioned in everyone's itinerary during visit to MAthura.

This is the place where Lord Krishna was born in the Karagah of Kansa. The stone on which he was born is still there. There are also numerous small mandir of deities within the complex. This mandir is surprisingly extremely clean from inside and things are very organized. However, we indians always find ways to dirty anything by throwing leftovers... More

It is the place where lord Krishna was believed to be born...the rock on which he was born is still there...considering the time it was constructed makes it quite splendid...you feel an unknown connection with the place...going just before holi can be the best experience but only when you can walk long distances and not accompanying small kids...
