I had to hand over my whole bag with ipad, iphone, etc. Just kept my money and passport. All went perfectly. No pictures here at all. A beautiful and spiritual temple, vast and full of history. The people welcomed me with smiles and curiousity (solo white woman traveler). You should see this temple.

We visited at 11.50am, so it was about to close(12.pm to 4.pm Temple closed). No queue there. Temple is well maintained. Very tight security and luggage cloak room facility available at the entrance. You have to park your vehicle 1 km far from Temple. Cycle rickshaw available from there to temple at 20/- for two person. Free footwear storing facility.

They provide guide for Rs. 100 and it when visiting historic places it is essential you hire one. Also dont forget to taste the Rabri (Basundi) at the temple prasad. It was too good, and costs just Rs. 20.

This holy place is a must visit. Along with the beauty of the temple, the management system for crowd is also nice.

This was a beautiful temple and very well managed by the police / army. The security is tight and all facilities are well organised all the way from luggage cloak room to obtaining water, storing footwear and also shopping for prasad etc. Was very happy to see queues were observed and no one was even trying to jump the queues.... I have been at this nice with my family and found the place really amazing. It would be great if you get a guide standing there only. They would hardly charge 100 Rs but a great value for money. Mobile purse and handbags not allowed. These things are to be kept in the cloak room. The flooring may be hot... More

It’s a place where Shri Krishna was born. The place is huge having temple and shops inside apart from the prison cell where Shri Krishna was born. There is a snake like structure inside which we can see various idols of God. Camera, mobile phone nothing is allowed inside the temple, visitor can submit their belongings at the counter before... It was like visiting your childhood memories of Amar Chitra Katha. The temple is well maintained. The evening arti gives you the soul of the place.
