Yoga is done through the practice of asana (the physical exercise), pranayama (the breathing technique) and mudra. All these practices purify the body, mind and energy system to prepare the ground for higher... More

I visited and tryed Yoga at this Center. Finally I could do Yoga by Mr. Somit's excellent instruction. After these activities, I had a chance to eat lovely lunch. Next time, I want to stay at their Guest House.

I spent ten days in Varanasi, June-July 2014, with a base in Somits Yoga Education Training Society. The first great experience was how well Somit and his crew welcomed me, reciving me by the trainstation and helping me to settle into the bustling and (at first) chaotic Varanasi. This turned out to be Somits way of behaving generaly: Kind, helpful,... More

Me and my wife have spent one day in Somit's society. We had a Yoga lesson and the rest of the day we spent with the children. We founded a big dinner for them and took part in its preparation. We also participated in their lesson, teaching them about European culture. That whole day was a great experience. The children... More

I went to this center to have an ayurvedic massage and a yoga class. You can have a pleasant experience and collaborate with the Project at the same time. Somit is a very nice and admirable man. I recommend this visit to anybody who visits the holy city of Varanasi. God bless you, Somit! Hope to meet you again!

As beginners, my boyfriend and I opted for two private sessions to get us started. Somit is such a lovely person and really took us under his wing and made the session feel comfortable but certainly not too easy. Both sessions were perfectly challenging and we both felt amazing afterwards. Also, the balcony session changed the whole dynamic- it was... More
