One of the tallest structures in Fatehpur Sikri, five storeys high with a little viewing platform on top. As a visitor you can only access the ground level. This was build by Emperor Akbar as a pleasure palace. Its third level has a corridor which links it directly to his harem in his royal palace.

It is situated within the Fatehpur Sikri complex. It's name comes from Five as it is a five story structure. It has been backdop of earlier Hindi movies. Here you can have a break for a while while moving around Fathepur Sikri and take lot of snaps.

Panch Mahal is one of the highlights of Fatehpur Sikri. The simple design is functional and elegant. The excellent condition of the ruins is impressive as well.

This building would be worth the trip to Fatehpur Sikri. The work in the red sandstone is outstanding. Always carry a torch with you.

There is something so simple but elegant in the design of Panch Mahal. It is very impressive especially when you think through the design and the location of the mahal near the lake.
