The fort is magnificent. You need at least 2 hours to visit this place. it offers spectacular view to Taj Mahal and Yamuna river. The architecture is amazing, with all the hidden patios and column halls with precious decoration and finishing.

on the right bank of the river Yamuna in the city of Agra in Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the most important and robustly built stronghold of the Mughals, embellished with number of richly decorated buildings encompassing the imposing Mughal style of art and architecture

Almost as spectacular as the Taj Mahal is the Red Fort in Agra. This place is HUGH, beautifully maintained and clean. Probably the best of the Red Forts we saw in India. It also has some great distant views to the Taj Mahal. A must to see after the Taj.

Get a trustworthy guide. Beautiful place with lot of historical significance. Do not buy anything from the street vendors. Travel light.

We spend several hours walking around the Fort and looking at each of the different sections. Nice to have a guide like we did. Have audio guides as well. We enjoyed our day here.

We missed this on our recent visit and were very disappointed. We visited in 1994 and found it very interesting, and there are views towards the Taj mahal that add to it's attraction. The history is very interesting.

Besides enjoying what I saw in the halls and hallways, I had a relaxing nap by the garden while waiting for my train... More
