Agra Fort was an unexpected pleasure. Goal in Agra with the Taj, which we visited first. But I must say that we found the Agra Fort to be much more interesting, the architecture more varied and complex, and the history colorful. Not as iconic as the Taj, but well worth a visit. How did the mughalai live? You can see... More

We went to India to attend a wedding. It was a great experience but the poverty around us I found quite upsetting. The Taj Mahal was amazing and my wife and I had our photo taken at the seat where many famous couples have been snapped. Again I found it hard to accept the poverty of many of the locals... More

Next to the Taj Mahal, this was the most impressive structure in all of India in my opinion. It is 2.5 km around, and the public is allowed in about a third of it. It is an incredibly impressive structure, and the history is extremely interesting. I would do this right after the Taj Mahal, as you get a discount... More

The Agra Fort is very nice, it is not as impressive as some other forts we have seen but there is a beautiful view of the Taj Mahal from afar. If you read about it before you don't really need a guide, but there are many guides outside the entrance. Worth coming early in the morning before its too hot.

This is another iconic place, bucket list , fort. The views are stunning, gets a bit quirky with the street vendors, but they are fun rather than aggressive Agra is more than taj. Beautiful and the people are wonderful

Good place to feel that time lifestyle. - I like it more than the delhi red fort. - The view of taj mahal and the city was amazing. - Please have a bit knowledge before visiting this place. - The security checking line was also not so long. - Won't be able to see the taj-mahal from here if there... On our trip we visited at least 4 forts and this was by far the biggest. Many things to see and learn here. Amazing architecture and would recommend taking a guided tour. Must see while at Agra and ironically a better experience than the Taj Mahal

Stunning. in a word. Not quite as special as the Taj Mahal, but really not to be missed. The view of the Taj in the distance was worth the price of admission.

Agra fort is a place, which gives a great glimpse of Taj Mahal. It is also told as the place where Mumtaz Jahan had been kept in prison. She sat there and used to see at Taj Mahal from there itself as cant visit there, as was in prison. Photographers can get good images of the architecture.
