Agra fort is far better than the red fort in Delhi it is really well preserved and although all the rooms are not open to the public it is still a 2 hour plus visit costing IR250 the workmanship is fabulous it is constructed of red stone and the same white marble as the Taj Mahal

It is an interesting fort and you need a guide if you want to get a history of the fort. Nice view of the Taj.

This fort is good to visit with a guide. Lot of local guides are available outside ,u need to bargain for 150-200 Rs .It will take an hour at least to see the fort. There is a evening sound and light show, which is good but we missed that.Lot of Panoramic views, photography locations and carry water/essentials with u.

Walking the whirl of the paths through several gate to enter the main area is amazing. Everything from the harem to the emperor's palace is breath-taking. Lovely Indo-islamic design everywhere, including many Hindu symbology. The audience square is quite impressive. Nothing to worry about all the monkeys running about unless you have food. Then beware!

This fort is amazing. The colour the history. Definitely worth seeing. It is quite large and there is a bit of walking but worth the effort for sure.

We loved this place - just from the outside you can see how magnificent it was. Some interesting facts - Emporer Shahjahan was imprisoned for years by his son (read my review of the Taj Majal for more info). Neat the emperors bedroom you will see the pool with fountains - this is where his concubines danced in see through... More
