A must see attraction in Agra. Make sure to fully charge your camera battery. Have your tour guide to tell you the story behind the place in full details for each location. I loved it and hope to visit this place again.

We had visited the Taj Mahal in the morning, the fort was our 'after lunch' sight seeing. I must admit I didn't expect much but as it turned out it was one of my favourite sites in India, I really enjoyed it, maybe because I love to photograph buildings I don't know but it really had an atmosphere about it... We visited Agra to see the Taj and came away with so much more. Agra Fort is huge and mind boggling. You can imagine the drawbridge being pulled up by elephants above the deep moat teeming with crocodiles. The walls are enormously thick and the inclined ramp up to the central area is impressive. Once at the top of the... More

Built in the sixteenth century by Akbar and occupied by the British in the 19th century it is a formidable red sandstone fort of massive proportions. Very well kept gardens and a wonderful peaceful atmosphere to walk round and relax in. Well worth a visit when in Agra.

This ford is big. Parking is expensive(70/-). Although we felt cheated. Many guides available for as low as 100/-. We took audio guide. It was not worth. There was no numbering and hence using the audio guide was tough. Beautiful place with many stories. View of Taj from the many windows presents grt photo op. Well maintained. Guide must, if... More

Both times we took the guide, and now I pretty much know the whole story. Well maintained and the sight of Taj Mahal from various locations in beautiful... Dont miss if you... More

The fort was nice - good views of the Taj Mahal and impressive on its own. Worth a visit, but bring a hat and sunscreen, it gets hot during the day. Or go in the early morning, if you've already seen the Taj on previous morning.

Strength & security of the ancient times, this comes into mind when you see the fort. I visited the fort in mid afternoon which is not advised as the sun is high at that time. you can choose to visit the fort in the morning as like Tajmahal it gets closed after the sunset. One should always take a guide as...
