Visited on 16 th nov.Nominal entry fee but ticket counter can be managed better. There was long queue and only one counter was open. And person issuing ticket was in no hurry to ease the crowd. But once you enter the fort you forget the inconvience suffered. MUST hire a proffesional guide otherwise you won't understand much. This fort was built by... More

This fort is huge and steeped in history. Go with a guide that can tell you the history of the fort.

It's hard to give this Mughal fort anything less than 5 stars, it's beautiful. And I've seen a fair few Indian forts! This place will take you back in time and is actually a rather big site which takes at least half a day to look around. Great views of the Taj Mahal as well, giving a new perspective of... More

watched the light and sound show... it was interesting as it told us about the Mughal history with some good light and sound effects. The show starts in the evening after sunset so the timings change during winters and summers. and if one want to see the glory of Agra fort also known as Red fort then visit it in... More

Agra fort was the first monument that i visited in Agra. There is an entry ticket of 10/- or maybe 20/-. Beware of the guides. Even if you plan to hire them,BARGAIN! The fort is huge. It has been altered by many rulers as and when they have come to power. There are a lot of places one can see... More

The architecture of the Agra Fort / Red Fort is stunning. It is quite deliberately a mix of Islamic, Hindu and Christian architectural styles, thanks to the influence of Shah Jahan's grandfather Akbar who married 3 wives of 3 different religions to bring together his people. The outer walls are red stone and parts of the inner royal apartments are... More

The Taj Mahal is certainly more impressive at first glance, but you are rushed through by guards with shrill whistles in a crowd of people and not allowed to pause and observe or take pictures. At the fort, you can stop to enjoy the beautiful inlay, admire the views of the Taj, wander rooms and colonnades. We got many pictures... More

This is a wonderful place, and it's gives you an insight into the lives lived by the Mughal emperors. We had a good guide who talked us through the various different buildings and areas. Without a guide, I imagine that it is difficult to understand and appreciate the relevance of Agra fort. My advice is to get a good guide,... More

Close to Taj Mahal, you have to visit the famous Agra Fort. A very spectacular historical building, with numerous places to visit. A quite interesting view opens to you from the balcony of this fort to the world famous Taj Mahal. You can take a camel drawn coach from close to Taj, to the gate of the fort.
