Another architectural masterpiece made of sandstone. Symectrical like everything in India. This is where Shah Jahan was kept in a tower, under house arrest for wasting the Empire's fortune on building the Taj Mahal.

It is a very nice fort and highly recommended over the one in Delhi. Visited it twice during our visit to Agra.

One must definitely stop by to see this fort if in Agra. Looks beautiful even if seen from the outside.

The views and the architecture is cleverly established. To catch the sunset from this uphill was a moment to treasure. You face the Taj from this vantage point and want to stay here forever.

i thought the fort was ok, but after seeing the Taj the fort was a little bit of a let down. I have seen many old buildings around India and I guess I am a little over them. But I do appreciate the way they built these awesome buildings so long ago.

A big fort to visit with lots of walking but an impressive set of buildings. Lots of history so get a guide book. Well worth a visit for the views of the Taj Mahal across the river.

The beauty of this fort is fabulous. A must visit monument that will take you back to the Mughal era.

The fort is WELL worth a visit and has a fascinating history. But if you go here after the Taj Mahal, it will feel like a let-down. Leave from Delhi as early as possible, say 7AM. Make sure your driver takes you on the expressway. Even if a good tour package they don't want to pay the extra 500 +/-... More

I recommend the light and sound show. We enjoyed the light and sound show as it wasn't crowded , the night was cool and show was like someone telling you a story. Story began from Babar and Humayun and end up with Akbar. It takes place in the open air (if possible bring mosquito repellent). Light & sound effect gives... More

This is a really cool fort, and I wish I could have seen more as well as been there longer. 3/4 of the fort is occupied by the Indian Army for barracks because they don't have any in town. They're supposed to be gone soon though. I wish I could have seen more. I suppose I'll have to go back... More
