I wasn't sure what to expect as sometimes forts can be just that, a fort, or a wall around the middle of nothing. But this was definitely not that. Bring your walking shoes as there are many steps and areas to see here. There is even a view of the Taj Mahal from here!

This is a must on the tourist itinerary really enjoyed our visit although very hot . It is a palace rather than a fort and it was the headquarters of Mogul Empire very interesting place.

Red. Not hard to reach. Easy to walk. Not crowded. Shops nearby. More shops than you can shake a stick at. More shops if you missed one. They have artisans who supposedly receive some support. Paid by the government. Perhaps they get a cut. Perhaps.

One must visit Agra Fort when goint to travel Agra. It has many stories. It has saw may kings, & been changed by according to them, time to time. The scene of the Taz fro here is also very atractive. I personaly advise that u should hire a guid while visiting it.

Agra Fort is a massive architectural beauty. The audio tour guide is best suited to see the place. The sound and light show is worth seeing though it does not match up with the one at Golconda CFort in Hyderabad. They first have the hindi show and then the english show.

This is the former magnificent home of the Mughal rulers of India, and while greatly reduced over the centuries you can still see its past grandeur.
