Agra fort is a beautiful place. Summers may not be a very good time to visit the place. Beware of Guides there you show their Govt I-Cards with Guide charges printed on them. Rs. 675 is the printed charges on that I-Card but you need to bargain with them and they come down to as low as Rs. 150 and... More

Much more grand than the Red Fort in Delhi, the Agra Fort is not just beautiful but hidden deeper in it's many layers are a rich history of the various rulers including the Rajput's, the Lodhi's and the Mughals who occupied it at different times and left their indelible mark on the monument. Personally have been there 4 or 5... More

I would recommend everyone to visit Agra Fort whenever you plan to visit the City. The Fort is huge, showcasing such luxury and richness of Mughal times. Best part i found is the Queen's Courtyard and the windows which allow you to have a beautiful view of Taj Mahal.

The "other" sight to see in Agra is the Red Fort or Agra Fort and it incorporates the Moghul (Muslim) Emperors' palace that was lived in by Shah Jehan and other emperors for over 300 years in the 1300 to 1700 period. It is well worth seeing but, as this is India, be prepared for hot, muggy weather; to walk... More

The fort is full passion. The emperors who built it and lived in it modified constantly as per their whims and fancies. However as per the design it is one of the greatest structures built by Moghals.

The Red Fort of Agra where Akbar spend his more matured years after being a family man. If you have already visited The Amer Fort of Jaipur where Akbar and Jodhabai had lived there golden time of life, the Agra fort would thrill you as you could complement the great Thinker and Philosopher (another side of Akbar) who complemented other... The political and cultural story around the Red Fort is very interesting part of the history of Utar Pradesh, India. The construction of the Fort and the craftsmenship at that time is fascinating.
