The first time I was in the Taj, it was 111 degrees outside & the place was unbelieveably noisy, owing to some constructive repairs going on ... + amazing acoustics! My more recent visit, however, was during a cool month & it was later in the day, so I was able to stand behind the main building & watch the... More

What can I add? It's the Taj Mahal! Everything you've ever heard will be proven true. On the negative side, it is very crowded. Even early in the morning - when almost all tourists come - you will find it very hard to see much without crowds around. After you've seen the outside and inside of the mausoleum, there are... Not much I can add about this wonder of the world. A joy to behold. We arrived early on the Shatabi Express train and it was cool and few people in the complex yet. When we left 2 hours later it was hot and getting crowded. Express return to Delhi did not leave until 9PM, so late in the afternoon... More

I'm not breaking any news here by the marvel and beauty that is the Taj Mahal. It's absolutely breathtaking. When you do the Taj, do it the right way. Stay at a nicer hotel in Agra (we stayed at double tree) and have the concierge book a tour guide/car service for you. This is absolutely key, as the tour guides... More

Yea, it's can be pretty crowded and might be hard to get a private moment here but the architecture, the design and the whole place is just breathtaking. Apparently it's tradition for Indians to come here on their honeymoon and I can see why.

Truly breathtaking!! Words can't really describe how beautiful is the Taj Mahal. As an added bonus, August is tourist off-season for northern India. I visited the Taj early morning just when it opened. The main gateway is a monumental structure built primarily of marble which is itself an attraction. You must allow yourself time to experience its beauty, it actually... More

Always wanted to visit Taj Mahal, and were not dissappointed at all. Very beautiful. There is always very big queue to get in for the locals but there is a separate line for foreigners. YOu pay a bit more but really its not that much at all, you get water and shoe covers with the ticket. It was very over... More
