Words cannot describe the feeling you get when you turn from the dirty streets of Agra onto the grounds of the Taj Mahal! This has to be on every traveler's bucket list! The architecture, the history, the sheer beauty, the life of the Taj Mahal are all breathtaking! It is truly a wonder of the world and should not be... More

Our visit was on a Saturday and visitors came in droves, especially locals particularly because of the long weekend observing 'Holi'. We stayed from early noon till sunset and spent the time marveling at all it's greatness. We saw the shades and colors of the white marble magically changing against the spring daylight. Taj Mahal is open daily from sunrise... More

What a place. I am so glad we visited, Its busy but still has an air of quiet and tranquility. We had a guide and really appreciated it. If you want cheesy photos, there are plenty of guys who will take these photos. Its a beautiful monument, with steps - not terrific access for those who needs it.

There aren't enough words in the English language to describe the beauty of this place. From the moment you walk through the entrance until you actually. Walk into it it just is awe inspiring. A true world heritage site and we shouldbe doing our utmost to protect these sites not damage or destroy them if you do one thing in... More

I wasn't expecting too much when I came to see the Taj Mahal; we had seen a couple of 'mini' Taj's during the few weeks prior and thought it wold be similar to them only bigger. We arrived at the Western gate at 7.45 am and were the first ones there for the gate opening at 8am. We hired a... More

Arranged by the staff at the Leela Palace in Delhi we were picked up by their BMW, with refreshments for the 2.5 hour journey over there. We were met by their staff tour guide, again arranged by the hotel. No standing in lines, tickets were purchased ahead by the hotel, all professionally handled and we were off. The guide was... World-famous Taj Mahal is best visited early morning. Opens from 7am. Even better if preceded by a sunrise visit to Agra Fort which opens at 6am. Remember to carry enough cash to pay the hefty Rs 750 entrance fee (for foreign nationals) at the Taj. Also, beware of the friendly tour guides whose primary aim is to advance their own... More

I lived in Delhi for a few months and came to Agra about four times. I would go back and do it again and recommend this to anyone. It's well worth the 3-4 hour trip from Delhi. The area around the Taj Mahal was not that great, loads of beggars trying to sell you something or get money off you.... More

Obviously an iconic site. The expectation is that it will be great but it is more than great. It why there is art - and why there is poetry. To help project something that cannot be described. The Taj Mahal is worth it to see even if it is the only thing you do in India. So, some tips. It... More
