The Taj Mahal is definitely a sight to see, however I would never plan a trip to India just for it. It is an incredible building but the town of Agra did not seem too special in my very short stay. I was in India for other reasons for two weeks and we made a quick stop to see the... More

A must see. A Beautiful palace with white marble 3 hours drive from New Delhi. A top visit in India. The surrounding garden could be better.

I am in the building trade but have never seen such a high quality of workmanship in my life. When you consider that the workmen only had hammers and chisels, it beggars belief how this quality of work was produced. Truly amazing. Well worth the four hour train journey from Jaipur. The only downside was exiting the beautiful manicured lawns... More

Travelled by Road from Delhi to Agra took us a while as we took the old highway. ( not recommended to take the mathura high way, use the jamuna express way) The sight of TAJ is just amazing, more to it is the facts and science with which the place was build. There is perfect symmetry to the building from... More

Stunning architecture, grand and imposing, a true national treasure. Well kept grounds and fountains. Also loved the view of the other site buildings, and the pastoral view of the Yamuna river with the cows across the banks.

Beauty is the word. My husband who had visited many years ago, felt the shine has reduced. Take a guide, to fully enjoy the place. Our guide charged 400/-. He had a govt. issued licence. Didn't know if that was fake! Security is high. Buy the shoe covers at the ticket counter itself. Not available inside. Otherwise will have to... More

Of course many people go to India just to see this beautiful place and with good reason. Walking through the gates brought tears to my eyes. It truly is breathtaking. We spent a couple of hours there in the morning, and that seemed to be enough time to see everything, and to walk the grounds. Yes, there are lots of... More
