We arrived late afternoon and the soft light in the beautiful Taj Mahal over the river was less white and more pink. The riverside is accessed through a lovely garden. There were about a hundred people sitting quietly enjoying the view. We were treated to passing villagers, including a small boy carrying a baby goat and an elderly woman carrying... More

Best view of taj from this side. Huge garden in this arid city comes as surprise. Maintenance by government agencies could have been better.

The place is where you could get a relaxed view of the taj and probably catch it along with sunset in midst of beautiful gardens but the fact is that this place needs an out of way travel route and then there is the entrance ticket and the only thing you get to see is the distant view of Taj... This park is a bit out of the way - you will need a driver or tuk tuk to get there, but it does offer some nice views of the Taj from the other side of the river. We were there in the afternoon but I imagine it would be a great place to watch the sunset over the Taj.

We went in early March so the flowers were already blooming and the garden was a sight to behold. After taking what seems like hundreds of photos we sat down and watched the sunset over the Taj. You can see the color of the Taj slightly changes as the sun sets. A great place to sit and get an undisturbed... More

We were led to believe these were magnificent, but they are not particularly spectacular and you have to pay to get in as well as hire a tuktuk to get there which probably isn't worth it. We combined it with a visit to the mini Taj which wasn't too bad, but if you only have a couple of days in... More

The Moonlight Garden is a perfect spot to view the Taj Mahal at sunset. The park and gardens lie directly across from the Yamuna River from the Taj and are in reasonably good condition. Once you take your photographs of the Taj Mahal, it's nice to stroll around to enjoy the gardens. One interesting point is that Shah Jahan's original... More

This is a lovely to spot to go in the evening to watch the sunset over the Taj Mahal. You get an uninterrupted view of this magical monument and it is far less crowded than the being at the Taj itself. The gardens are also in reasonable condition and worth strolling around if you have time.

Likes: A nice view of the Taj Mahal from across the river and in a nice quite garden setting. Just stay away from the river - which has lots of ufo (unidentified floating objects). Dislikes: Enroute to this place, you will see some of the poorest residents of Agra. Very sad.

Located at the banks of Yamuna, this is the place where you want to be. Specially for local Aagaraites, many of them who in spite of living in Agra for their lives never visit such places cause being far from the city. These places are still kind of untouched from the pollution, crowd etc. One can peacefully sit at the... More
