Many of my friends had gone to ooty and none knew there was a bee museum there. If you go there, they play a 20 min documentry of how honey is collected and everything you would like to know abt bees. We bought bitter honey. It is really tasty and also bitter at the same time, and lots of products... More

You can visit the museum only if you are interested in knowing about bee harvesting and honey collection being done in traditional way by tribal people. The place gives a picture of sheer negligence and no body present there seems interested also to have visitors to bother them with specific questions.

Dont miss the video on honey gathering. Nothing much after that. Staff missing or clueless. Shop downstairs keeps good buys.

Been there, seen it but got bugged with it. Do you really wanna see some dead hives? Then go for it! I found this immensely meant for school kids on education tour.

the museum was very close to the hotel so we walked into it out of curiosity. The bee information was basic with good photos and charts, looked like a project of a zoology student. For a musum there were very limited exhibits of the bee hives and the vartiety of bees and their colony environment. The shop on ground floor was well... More
