The architecture in this temple is very impresive and no words to describe. It has been fitted with modern cooling system, audio and strict following of crowd control. A must visit temple!

This was our second visit to the huge temple complex and each time we have been fascinated and totally in awe of the amazing architecture and the sight of religious rituals. The temple is a very important site for Hindus who make pilgrimages from all over Southern India to worship here. The inside of the temple is reached through walking... More

Divine dharshan of the goddess makes one to forget all worries &her dharshan timings were too limited&that is not all enough to admire her beauty&divinity. Beware of All money minded persons inside the temple. Almost tamilnadu government is making all arrangements to have nice dharshan .but brokers are spoiling it.

Great place to Visit and get blessed by the Goddess Meenakshi Amma & Lord Shiva. Must See or Visit place, if you are Devotional. If you are Photographer you can visit to see the carving and temple constructions. Considered as one of the three Shakthi Peetam in INDIA. 1. Kanchi Kamakshi 2. Madhura Meenakshi 3. Kasi Visalakshi

It is an excellent temple. A must visit place in Madurai. Just see the architectural beauty of ancient India. Spend 3 hours minimum in different locations of the temple.

Temple timings are 0500hrs and 1230hrs and again between 1600 hrs and 21.30 hrs. Madhurai temple has a huge area of around 16acres . It had four main dwar or gates or towers.(North,South,East,West). All towers are very tall with varied ,colorful statues of different Gods like God Shiva and Goddess Parvati on the dwar and pillars. Each tower is of... More

Its beautiful place. One gets into complete peace for the minutes you spare there. Especially the Golden Lotus at the temple and stairs around gives you a satisfaction of religious breeze. Its very crowded during the month of April, May and June (festive season) " Chithirai Thiruvilazh"
