Be there during rainy and winter seasons and you will enjoy the stunning beauty of the hills behind. Be there in summer and you will swear at yourself. The park is very badly maintained with garbage everywhere, a must-not-go toilet and not attractive flora.

The Aliyar reservoir is at the foot hills of the road to Valparai from Pollachi. The park is a good place to spend some time to take rest and may be have your meal if you have packed food from home. The park itself though beautiful is average, but if you walk up the reservoir then you have the magnificent... More

Stopped at Aliyar Dam en-route to Valparai. The place is about 30 mins drive from Pollachi. The approach road is very good, sufficient parking available and there are plenty of shops near the entry gate selling all stuffs and snacks. We went on a Saturday, there was good crowd visiting, the queue was long but thanks to efficient staff, it... More

I have visited this park with my hubby, the natural plants & flowers were good to see. But the park was so isolated when we visited. The maintenance was average.

Aliyar Dam and the park is so well maintained, especially to see the water brimming over.. we used to buy the biryani from Lucky hotel in Pollachi, and eat it here before going up to the Annamalais, but now there are a lot of eateries outside itself. Besides, Aliyar, there is the A1 Chips stall in Coimbatore , the best... More

Aliyar Dam Reservoir Park is a place one can visit enroute more attractive places like Vaalpari. Other than that this place does not offer anything much exciting particularly for people who are from village background for nature is not new to them and there is nothing special this place offers. However, for persons from the concrete jungle of cities, this... More

I have been here several times & it has been always a relaxing spot for us before & after visiting to Valparai. The location is good with a park amidst the dam. We will get lots of snacks outside viz., Fish fries, Green mangoes & chilli powder, Fried Corn, etc. Also the walk to the dam was really good &... More
