This is one of the most well maintained Wildlife Sanctuary. A true treat for nature lovers. A must visit for exploring the rich flora and fauna. World class experience.

Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park is a protected area located in the Anaimalai Hills of Pollachi. Anamalai Means Hill of Elephants. Forest vehicle is available for visiting. A visitor can saw captive elephants, and some wild animals. Place is not well maintained..

Took forest vehicle (matador). Apart from captive elephants and wild cow (neel gaye) could not spot any other wild animals. Some people saw leopard. During weekend many tourist will flow in so advisable to come early else you need to wait 2-3 hr for your vehicle ride. There are no proper sign board on route to top slip. Accommodation option... This may sound odd but its true.A un maintained place with nothing to offer to a tourist.Waste of time,money and energy.Better to find another tourist place to explore

It was a very short trip of one day amidst nature. I have done many almost 15 trips to this park, taking my friends and relatives on various seasons. From entry at the foot hills, one will see lush green forest ( especially after rains) till Top Slip. After that one will see only planted forest in the tourist zone, which is quite disappointing. The drive from the gate up to topslip has amazing scenery and views, saw some wildlife too. Paid R800 for 3 people to do the elephant safari ride, saw Bison lots of monkeys and birds but it was very short maybe 10-15 mins. We wanted to go through Kerela park but they only do a bus tour organised at reception... More
