To reach Gurudongmar Lake, you have to ready for a VERY rough drive for 2-3 hours from Lachen and from Gangtok around 6-8 hours. You have to start from Lachen at 3-4 am early morning with some light snacks, the roads are bad but early morning hill trail is worth, very very few and only tourist vehicles on the trek... More

It was one of the most beautiful places you will sea on earth. The only issue was we couldn't stay for more than 10 mins up there because of very low oxygen levels and temperatures aroud -10C. The journey to Gurudongmar lake is very hectic and around 4hrs from Lachen with very rocky roads. It's better to come here in... More

The best place to visit in Sikkim. To begin, the journey begins around 4AM and the entire journey is beautiful if you are a true nature lover. There is a stop over for breakfast where you can get noodles, egg omelette and also rent a winter jacket if you have forgot to bring one. Hats off to the Indian Army... More

It's located 68 km away from Lachen, a You have to reach there as early as possible, preferably between 8 to 9 am. we had breathing problem due to high altitude and a tiring journey throughout as the road was not good. I don't have enough words to explain the serenity of that place.lake was half frozen.. Landscape with awesome... More

The most serene place I have ever been to. Located at an altitude of 18,700 feet, which is about 3/4ths the altitude of Mount Everest. The lake has great religious significance to Buddhists as well as Sikhs (Lord Padmasambhava and Guru Nanak Dev both are said to have come here and prayed at different points of history). The arduous journey... More

First of all i didn't know you have to start at 3:30 am to reach this lake on time. Second, it was too cold and too dark to enjoy the scenery on the way. Lake is too small and was frozen when we went there. We were not allowed to stay there for more than 10 mins. I am not... More
