We took the Lachung - Lachen tour. Though the journey is really hectic but once you reach there, you'll feel awesome. At around 17400 Ft you might have a breathing problem, so it's not recommended for old age persons Once you complete the journey, you'll remember it whole life. It's a lifetime experience. Tip : Carry popcorns to avoid such... More

Most beautiful lake I have ever seen in India and its on TOP of the World at 17000 Feet. Its a must visit attraction in India. Be careful if you have any breathing ailments because at 17000 feet it takes a toll. Plus you have a splitting headache after you return back from such an altitude. Take precautions and prepare... When you reach here you just able to say WOOOOW. It located at an altitude of 17,100 ft (5,210 m) and one of the highest lakes in the world. Gurudongmar lake provides one of the source streams of the Teesta River. A heavenly lake surrounded by snow caped mountains. Here you can find few dogs and some birds as the... More

Gurudongmar is one of the most beautiful high altitude lakes that India has. Located at an altitude of 17,000 ft (5248m), it is also also one of the highest lakes in the world. Gurudongmar lake was primarily a pilgrimage destination for the Sikhs. During his third journey, Guru Nanak visited this place to provide support for the Karmapa Nyingmapa. His... More

This is an out of the world experience. After enduring treacherous road (sometimes no road), we were able to reach the lake amidst of Tibetian plateau. Could not stay more than 1Hr due dizziness feeling. Scenery is breathtaking. We were planning to go upto Tso-Lhamu (approx 30mins), but permission could not be managed. Overall, excellent experience.
