The entry fees for Indian tourists are on higher side. This may reduce and deprive the big families to enter and see the Royal palace. The palace is a museum now with every details of royal family and maharana pratap. The Sword of 25 kgs indicates, what a mighty king he was. More

The stories of the bravery of the rulers of Mewar are etched in rock in this palace (literally). This is a privately maintained palace and quite well maintained. It is cool and most of the visit is inside the environs of the palace so you can visit in the afternoon too. The palace was built by different rulers adding to the... More

Allow around half a day to see everything here. It's a superb , but very large, piece of architecture. There are sometimes art exhibitions in one of the halls that are extremely interesting and worth spending time on. Parts of the Palace are not well maintained (as usual in India), so take care, particularly if you have children. Be sure... More

The palace it privately maintained and preserved which gives good info about Mewar history and legacy. A boat ride to Jagmandir from city palace and back was also worth it. The guides are available at reasonable rates who give good info about the palace and history associated. Rates for boat ride and food in restaurant at Jagmandir were high but... More

The visit to the palace is a pleasure. It is maintained well and there is staff to ensure that the artefacts are not tampered with. A decent walk around the place will bring alive the maharajas and their lifestyle during those times. A display of the guns and ammunition of those times is at view. It will take approximately two...
