This is worth the trip but you need to watch out for the queueing system. It took us 45 minutes to get on a cable car, missing the sunset or most of it. Great views though, even at night

I really recommend Cable car experience in Udaipur. It is not very expensive and if you want to avoid queue than there is an option for VIP entry with higher ticket price but no waiting in queue to go up. There is restaurent on top which offers snacks and cold drinks/ice cream. Excellent view of Udaipur city especially City Palace...

You can walk up the hillside just as easily, but the cable cars are not prohibitively expensive and the views are beautiful either way. Head there late afternoon to watch the sun set over the city.

Worth a visit just for the views over Udaipur City and would recommend visiting at sunset. Travelled by rickshaw at a cost of 80 rupees

The cable car trip up a high hill offers panoramic views of Lake Pichhola and Udaipur. You'll also score points with your kids just for the fun of riding the cable car!

The cable car takes you to Karni temple (there is also s dargah there) for Rs. 72 per head. One gets a panoramic view of Lake Pichola, Lake Fatehsagar as well as the city on the other side (railway station side). You may want to catch a sunset from this point.
The restaurant at the boarding point serves very yummy...
