Its situated on a hill - you can either take the ropeway trolley or pedestrian path. Ropeway takes ages with waiting time of around 1 hour when going up and coming down. On reaching the top you'll hardly spend 15 mins in the temple. Recommended only if you have nothing else to do for 3-4 hours.

Manasapurna Karni Mata Ropeway is just a walking distance from lake Pichola. While we are not a religious bunch, we decided to take the cable car to the mountain-top, just for the view it had to offer. The temple was crowded anyway, so we avoided that and instead soaked in the view. Somehow, we imagined it to be a beautiful... More

The ropeway is not very well-maintained and the cars are creaky. But it is still a must-do, especially for the view it offers of the city of Udaipur. Take it during the late evening so that you can see the colourful lights of the Lake Palace.

The rope way is not brilliantly maintained, but the destination it takes you to has wonderful views of the city. The temple and the fort (pathetically maintenance) are not well managed. But its a MUST go place for the views. I am sure the evenings would be even more wonderful. Do not miss!

It was my first ride on ride on ropeway. You can see complete udaipur city, with 2 big lakes. On Karni Mata Temple, you can spend 1-2 hrs, seeing udaipur from heights.

This was a bit of a gimmick in my view. Yes, there were nice views from the top, but frankly they weren't that much better than other vantage points around the city. There's little infrastructure at the top; a small cafe and a pretty badly maintained temple with paths leading up to it. I was a little disappointed not to... More

Karni mata temple is known for white and black rats flocking near the idol. But we found no trace of rats since they were caged due to fear of animals coming in search of rats.. Though it provides a spectacular view of entire Udaipur. Best time to go is Sunset time wherein entire Udaipur would be well lit.Dont miss it!
