Description: Over the past 15 years, Sushma has been providing cooking classes to...
Over the past 15 years, Sushma has been providing cooking classes to foreign guests who have travelled to India from all different parts of the world. If you sign up for one of her classes, you will enhance your knowledge of cuisine, develop your own cooking skills and indulge yourself in an unforgettable, traditional Rajasthani celebration of food under the guidance of this passionate and experienced teacher! Sushma’s love for cooking began at the young age of 10 while watching her grandmother cook traditional Indian meals for her family. After dipping into many spice jars and creating her own unique Indian dishes, Sushma quickly found her place in the kitchen. Sushma admits she truly is a lover of food and for this reason when she is in the kitchen, she appears as graceful and contented as a queen in her palace. She is most alive and vibrant when sharing the wealth of knowledge she has about food with others who have an appreciation for food.

I love how Sushma hands around tasting plates once a meal is complete, it reinforces ones learning as you go. Of course at the end you get to eat all the food she has made. You... read more

I love how Sushma hands around tasting plates once a meal is complete, it reinforces ones learning as you go. Of course at the end you get to eat all the food she has made. You are offered to come and help with various aspects of the cooking but it is not hands on so to speak. Her family come... More

Amazing cooking class. Sushma is a great cook, speaks English fluently and is quite knowledgable when it comes to Indian cuisine. Inexpensive and interesting class. Would definitely recommend it to all travelers. Best chai I tasted in all of India.

My boyfriend and I spent two hours learning the ins and outs of Northern Indian cooking with Sushma. Very relaxed and informative class. Food was delicious and cooked to our liking (chilli hot, not too much sugar). The power flicked off a few times but this didn't stop us from cooking on the gas top! Excellent value for money, a... Attended Sushma's cooking class together with a French couple. Very professional, no nonsense, educational course which also provided an insight into the restaurants' tricks. I think I learned exactly what I needed to give Indian cooking at home a go. The food we cooked by the way was delicious.

Sushma's cooking class was great! She was very accommodating for our desires since we cook a lot of Indian food at home. She taught us how to make South Indian food and gave us the freedom to pick the menu which we wanted to learn. The one north Indian dish we learned was butter paneer was amazing with coconut, almonds,... More

Unfortunatelly this was not a cooking class but a cooking show. A nice show indeed, but I came to cook! The food turned out really nice and Im happy for my receipts. The lady knows how to cook in Europe and that is good! But she needs to at least start pretending that she likes what she's doing and some... More

This is a must do if you visit Udaipur. My partner (a vegetarian) and I (who does not eat much veg at all!) took a class recently. Not only did we learn a lot but we also enjoyed an amazing meal - as a non veggie I was surprised I liked it as much as I did. Now I am... More
