Amazing fort. Impressive bulwarks with a rich history. One can get a beautiful view of sunset and also see its long wall snaking in the hills of the Aravalis. A must visit, if you are in this area.

The fort is located on top of a mountain within the wild untamed Aravali's, and the climb up the steep ramps can give you an idea why this fortress was never conquered. There are no decorations here, the fortress is a grim stone bastion that reminds you of the constant strife and struggle for survival faced by the Rajput rulers.... More

Good looking, but it's not so beautiful as Ambala Fort nearby Jaipur. Price for Indian 5 rupees, for foreign 100 rupees. In inside cafe same rate paranta for foreign 140, Amul lassi 45, no menu.

Built on top of the mountain range, one wonders how such a beautiful fort was built so long ago. But beware - be prepared for a breath-sapping climb up the steps and ramps and do take drinking water with you.

the setting of the fort is beautiful - with rolling green hills on all sides. the fort is well hidden and one has to climb, they say, 1000ft from the entrance to get to the quarters of royalty. Most of the rooms however are locked. there is no view out as the courtyards are surrounded by high walls giving the... More

Kumbalgarh is an amazing fort and is located very strategically. It has a large number of temples in its premises and the ramparts have to be seen to be believed. This should be visited if planning to visit Rajasthan
