I highly recommend this to travelers that go to Udaipur - we drove by and stopped here, and it was definitely worth taking the time. It was really hot though, and halfway there, someone came down and told us it was closed at the top. They should inform travelers of these things when they start the climb in 40 degree... More

We drove around 2 hours through the country side from Udaipur to reach Kumbhalgarh fort.. must admit the climb is really steep and a big no-no in summer..Fortunately, it had rained in the morning and the weather was pleasant.. the view from the top is amazing and you can spend some time just admiring the natural beauty around.. there are... A two hour drive from Udaipur this is an impressive piece of architecture. Amazing to think that the fort and the wall built so long ago - the technical skills and efforts involved.. It would be wonderful to have a helicopter ride over the mountains

The trip to Kumbhalgarh was a bumpy ride. But it proved worthwhile when you climbed up the fort. It offers a great vantage point to see the jungles and temple ruins below. A hidden treasure so close to the populous citiy of Udaipur.

We liked the view from top of the fort.there should be some description about fort & pathways. There was very cold on top.use floaters or shoes.don't wear short cloths, as people will stare being a traditional city man.

The view is amazing though very little historical details are remaining. The Light and sound is wastage of money. Instead should stay over night in the nearby hotels to enjoy the reserve forest and if lucky can also catch a glimpse of a panther.

No words, No photos, No Videos can do justice to the grandeur of this architectural marvel!! Being there was an absolute realization of what "Breathtaking" can mean! It's quite some walk up and down the fort. Elderly People and/or "Not-so-trek-loving" people may find it difficult to climb all the way up. So, plan accordingly. Your climb up to the top... More

A truly magnificent fort and a must visit if you are in Udaipur. It is a 2 hour drive from Udaipur but if you are a fan of Indian history you should definitely visit this World Heritage Site. It is considered an impregnable fort and was conquered only once in it's history and looking at it's thick walls, one can... More
