Kumbalgarh is famous for having a 36km long wall surrounding the fort where Maharana Pratap Singh was born. It is situated little far from Udaipur. Though a heritage site, it does not have a guide facility or proper security guards. The place is clean and the people from the small hamlet within the fort are worth talking to.

Please don't miss a trip here if visiting Udaipur. It's a 2 hr trip along decent roads (for most parts) and an imposing marvel of architecture. The Rs 5 entry fee seemed woefully low for the fort, but who am I to complain! We couldn't go too far inside as the climb was quite steep and my kiddo wasn't too... More

The Kumbhalgarh fort stands like a larger than life structure with its tall boundaries & structure. Its a beautiful fort with history, well stored to give a glimpse of the era gone by. As you ascend your way up to the topmost part of the fort, the view outside of the city around is astounding. a must visit for travellers... More

Fantastic Views of the Aravali Mountains. The fort perimeter of approx 36 km makes it the second longest wall after the Great Wall of China. Birthplace of Maharana Pratap. They have a sound and light show from 6:15 pm to 7:00 pm

Spent a couple of hours roaming around this fort. We learned that this fort has the second longest wall in the world (after the great wall of China). Was a great experience - not a very commercialized place as relatively less no. of foreign tourists visit it.

Kumbalgarh is really a memorable fort out of plenty of forts in Rajasthan. It is very impressive as being on a hill top, it gives a mesmerising view of far off mountains, plateau & lush green land scape. The length of the wall of this fort is only second to the great wall of china. However, at the entry there... More

This place is reachable by reserved taxi from Udaipur as a part of a day trip. I got an impression it would be better to stay overnight nearby to allow yourself a full day for a visit. We could spare just an hour, this was definitely not enough to soak in the atmosphere. This place is actually not just a... More
