The fort is situated in the aravali hills & is one of the rare forts where the mohgul emperors could not invade & win. The biggest attraction of this vast fort is the birth place of Mewar Naresh Maharana Pratap, a great warrior & administrator. Second attraction is the peripheral wall having diameter of 36 KM which is second largest... More

The scale and architecture is impressive, the place is calm and serene, I would want to go back on a lesser crowded weekend and stay for a day or 2. Missed the Jain temples this time as I had time enough only to do the palace. Exploring the complete fort including the temple, where King Kumbha prayed would be fun

We specifically went to see light and sound show, however we were very disappointed. The voice was not clear as well volume of very low....sitting space to enjoy the show was very less. The only good thing was the light view of the fort from the distance.

Traveling through India, we saw many forts. This one was by far the biggest and best. Though it is a bit out of the way, it is worth the visit. The view from the top is amazing and just walking around in the area is a great way to enjoy and see a piece of history. Definitely recommended.

I highly recommend this to travelers that go to Udaipur - we drove by and stopped here, and it was definitely worth taking the time. It was really hot though, and halfway there, someone came down and told us it was closed at the top. They should inform travelers of these things when they start the climb in 40 degree... More
