We hadn't skied in Angel Fire in over 16 years and we were worried that it wouldn't be as we remembered. We were delighted to find that the skiing there is still great! It's a lovely family resort and offers terrain for everyone. One of the things we always loved about Angel Fire was how helpful and friendly staff was.... More

My family has been going to Angel Fire to ski for years. We really enjoy the family friendly atmosphere of the resort, as well as the selection of ski runs. The greens runs are nice and long and wide enough to support the busy season. There is a nice variaty of blue runs (my favorite) and some are perfect for... More

I hadn't been skiing in about 5 years, so I was a bit nervous at first wondering if my ski legs would come back quickly or not at all. Luckily, I had no problems!! It IS like riding a bike! With that said, i have skied at several places in Colorado, a few in N.M., California, Nevada and even once... More

My husband and I skied here for the first time because conditions in the Taos area were not great and it was a cheaper option. The backside was fine in the morning for just getting some runs in as long as you looked for rocks in thin cover areas. However, the staff was not social at all, the lift cushions... More

Dear Caitlin, I am very sorry to hear of your lift experience. We typically get very good reviews on our lift operators and lift staff. Even as an expert skier, Lift #2 can be more challenging than our detachable quads. There is increased spacing and the rope speed is such that there is more than adequate time to load. You... More

This was my first time downhill skiing, so I cannot compare Angel Fire Resort to other ski resorts, but I can give my impression of the Beginner Skiing Lessons offered by the resort. First, Angel Fire Resort was the only resort in the area that you could reserve a specific date for taking the lessons. Other nearby resorts told you... More

I had the pleasure of skiing with my family at Angel Fire Resort last weekend. We had heard good things about the resort and though we live in Taos, had never been there before. We were not disappointed. Though there was no fresh powder, conditions were great. The staff was friendly and very helpful and buying our tickets was a... More

visited for the first time and really had a relaxing time hitting the slopes! Nice homey atmosphere and great to be able to walk right out to the slopes. Seems like there are many activities for all seasons.
