Made a quick stop to go tubing here, on our way to ski at another location. The skiing here is busy and the people are rude, but tubing was wonderful!! The employee helping was so full of personality, we really enjoyed him. And the tubing was great. Lines were not too long and the lanes were fast! I saw OLD... More

We had a great ski/snowboarding experience at Angel Fire Resort over the Christmas break. Although we did not stay on the property, the ski/snowboard instructors were very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a fantastic time and will be back!

I've skied Angel Fire on 3 separate occasions. It is a great mountain, and has never been too crowded when I go (my favorite part). Some sections of the mountain get icy at times. But this year the mountain has been spectacular with the amount of snow New Mexico has seen. Plenty of skiing for all skill groups. My brother... More

The resort has a great facility for kids. One of the best from my multiple trips. However, the booking system for adults is terrible. To book a new lesson, they need one to line up for a very long time. Often, this is due to very limited staff available. Good blue and green trails. A good ski resort for the... More

Thanks for the review, Houstonian! The adult school and children's school are actually the same organization. Instructors are trained in teaching both children and adults. In terms of the bookings and registration for lessons, the children's center and private lessons do get filled up rapidly and reservations are essential. Walk up business at the Ski School Ticket office for Children's... More

Came up from Abilene, TX to spend part of a day snow tubing. Had done this before. I called to make reservation Dec. 29 and was told that they don't take reservations for tubing, just show up and purchase whatever time block is available. We arrived at Resort early afternoon on Dec. 31. Went to purchase tickets and was told... More

Hi Chuck, I apologize for any erroneous information you seemed to have received. I have looked into this with our Mountain Reservations staff. We had sold out all 250 tubing slots for Dec 31st well before Dec 29th. This was well known to our reservation personnel as well as our general information operator. I have also reviewed communication to our... More

If you're a good but not black diamond skier, love long trails and beautiful scenery, this is for you. I like that there are places to get warm quickly. The lifts are long and so then you've got a long time to ski. LOVE THIS. Going Home is a great way to get back on the slopes after a year... More

If you have done skiing before, I am not sure that this advice is for you, other than a mention that no matter what level skier you are, you will not be disappointed by Angel Fire. For those who are skiing for the first time, this hopefully will help you. When one visits a place, its all about location, location,... More

Utah has powder, Colorado has altitude/glitz, but Angel Fire Resort has people and prices for everyone. I really like their first time ski/ride package that includes equipment rental, lift ticket, and TWO lessons for a little over $100!!!!
