Fantastic! Our guide Hawk was knowledgeable and social, great day! Traveled up from Santa Fe with five others and really enjoyed seeing the amazing facility they have and the beauty of the valley. Looking forward to returning this fall!

Great time--we had a party of 6 and we would all do it again. Don't get put off by the practice runs that are only 200 feet long--you eventually go 1600 feet and it's exhilarating at speeds up to 60 mph! The waiting at each station for their turns drove the younger kids crazy but for the adults it was... More

Our first trip to Angel Fire after spending previous trips to NM in Taos Ski Valley. Early in the week we wanted to ride the ski lifts and went into the ticket office to purchase tickets. The lady running the ticket office has to be the most abrupt, unfriendly, just plain rude person I have ever seen operating a tourist... More

Perfect place to learn to ski. Plenty of runs are easy for beginners. Very large bunny hill as well. More advanced skiers would be happier going to Taos.

My very first time skiing was in Angel Fire when I was in college over a decade and a half ago. VERY fond memories . Love the lodge too! Perfect for someone like me that only wants to ski one day they read a book and sit in the lodge with a gorgeous view sipping coffee while the rest of... More

I spent 3 nights there this week in a time share room. It was a hotel room but it was spacious and comfortable. It had a small refrigerator and a microwave. The staff could not have been nicer. Just an FYI though - there is no air conditioning. We didn't need it because it was quite cool but if it... More

My husband and I took our 8 year old granddaughter here on the ski lift. It was magical for her (and for us through her eyes). We rode the lift up and down twice just for the sheer joy of the adventure and the beauty of the mountains. We hiked about 1/2 mile to a small lake with an adjacent... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us, Kathy! It is a spectacular view from up at 10,000 feet! Actually, the $12 price for adults ONLY allows for a single round trip! I am surprised you got in some laps! I would say about half of our Guests walk back down along the hiking trail and half take the... More

Let me preface that this review will be partly comparing the Durango Ski Valley Resort bike park, as well as our first hand AFR experience. When it comes to comparing Durango with AFR, Durango tops for food/beer options, ease of pass purchase and areas to chill out, but that's it. AFR really could teach Durango on how to create great... Hey, thanks for the review! Our Bike Park is rated top five in North America! Top in the Southwest! There are a lot of reasons for this from our staff, the way the mountain is laid out, our dirt and the fact that we are on private land which allows use to develop our park unimpeded by government red tape!... Not much to do here unless you wanna shell out $$$. We were going to hike but we were rained out. Very few (like 3) places to eat (including Subway) and the food where we ended up (Forgettable) was Sysco food and nothing special. The drive was prettier than the destination.

Sorry you had a bad weather day, Leah! Not all activities here are $$$! A round trip up the chairlift is only $12! Our Mtn Bike Park is one of the Best in North America yet a day pass costs much less than those in other states! Golf, fishing and other summer activities do indeed have a fee. Hiking is... More

We didn't ski here, but we're passing through during the summer. It is quit a beautiful area of New Mexico. We took a loop road from Taos and return. There was a craft fair going on at the time and actually sampled New Mexico wine. Pretty decent.

Thanks for the review Calsun! We are one of the great undiscovered treasures in New Mexico! The northern loop called the "Enchanted Circle" is indeed spectacular with lots to do year round! More
