My husband and I took our 8 year old granddaughter here on the ski lift. It was magical for her (and for us through her eyes). We rode the lift up and down twice just for the sheer joy of the adventure and the beauty of the mountains. We hiked about 1/2 mile to a small lake with an adjacent... More

Let me preface that this review will be partly comparing the Durango Ski Valley Resort bike park, as well as our first hand AFR experience. When it comes to comparing Durango with AFR, Durango tops for food/beer options, ease of pass purchase and areas to chill out, but that's it. AFR really could teach Durango on how to create great... Not much to do here unless you wanna shell out $$$. We were going to hike but we were rained out. Very few (like 3) places to eat (including Subway) and the food where we ended up (Forgettable) was Sysco food and nothing special. The drive was prettier than the destination.

We didn't ski here, but we're passing through during the summer. It is quit a beautiful area of New Mexico. We took a loop road from Taos and return. There was a craft fair going on at the time and actually sampled New Mexico wine. Pretty decent.

Thanks for the review, Karol! No doubt Angel Fire Bike Park is rated Best in the Southwest and top 5 in North America by riders and reviewers! We have over 70 miles of Downhill, a full rental shop with the best bikes available, repair, retail and certified lessons. We also have one of the longest seasons around. The buzz in... More

Had a great time with a total of three family members zip lining through the top of the angel fire ski resort. They do a great job of making you comfortable with the process and do everything they can to make you time fun. They plan on a lot longer trip. We completed the entire course in two hours but... Hi Shad! Glad you had an excellent zip adventure! For those of you who want to experience this adventure yourselves the best bet is getting a reservation. Early Zip tours are available at a discount, starting at $99 per person! Later zip tours maybe available as walk ups only as there are frequent afternoon thunderstorms during the summer....Early is better....and... More

Once the ski mountain is closed, you can still find such beauty while hiking. Oeste Vista Trail is about 2.6 miles and is great for snowshoeing, biking and hiking. There are several switchbacks on this trail. Don't give up at the steep beginning. The views of the golf course and Monte Verde Lake are breathtaking from the top. There are... More

Hi Multimom! Great tip! Oesta Trail and the other "greenbelt" trails are extremely popular with our Guests and Members! The number one inquiry at the Angel Fire Visitors Center during non winter season is where to hike and which trails to use! In addition to Oesta, there are other really scenic and easy trails as well! Trail maps are available... More

We were blown away by how organized the ski school was at Angel Fire. I believe they pushed our kids on their first time skiing and it resulted in kids that can't wait to get back on the slopes. (We have three kids all aged 6) The kids were tended to all day - drop off before we started skiing... More

Christina, thank you so much for your kind words! As the Ski School Director, I am gratified that you found our check in systems etc. easy and fast! We have spent a lot of time and money on system technologies to hopefully take a tedious and complicated process and streamline it. This is in response to customer feedback and we... More

This is a smaller ski resort where you can enjoy the terrain without the huge crowds that you may encounter at some of the larger resorts. It's a good place for beginners to get comfortable on the mountain but also offers runs for advanced skiers. I recommend and thought it had something for everyone.

Quiet little town. No crowds and no long lines. Great place to travel with kids. The runs are great for beginners and the novice skier.

Thanks for the endorsement, K! BTW....we do have quite a few awesome expert runs too! For instance, did you know that Minder Binder was the FIS World Cup Finals venue for Mogul Skiing two years in a row? Though we are focused on families and beginners...there are some extremely challenging runs as well! More
