Standing magnificently on the hill next to Jodthpur, this fort is the first thing you see when you enter the city. Part of the fort was carved into the hill it stands on top of. Inside, there is a beautiful palace that currently serves as a museum. The audio tour is pretty good and mixes interesting stories while giving a... More

After being to Jaipur and the plush innovations of Sawai Maan Singh, you would be disappointed by Meherangarh. I loved that it was raw and not yet commercialized as most tourist spots. If you are a well-seasoned tourist, you would understand what I am talking about. This fort is unspoilt, like the people who live in Jodhpur. Visit it for... More

Mehrangarh fort at Jodhpur is the best we have seen so far ever anywhere! The architecture, ambience, upkeep, hospitality, recreation, display, food... it's an endless list... just blew our minds! And fortunately, after a great guided tour of Sonar Kella, we had yet another great and informed guide in Rishi Raj Jodha at Mehrangarh fort. Such a pleasure this visit... More

My wife and i traveled from Jaisalmer which is 5- 6 hrs journey. Reached the fort by 2.30pm. The fort is big and takes time to view. There are Audio guides available in the fort which are the best and the most reliable source of information. There are visitor fees, camera fees and audio guide fees for the fort. There... More

The sheer size of the fort mesmerized us. We took walking route to reach the fort so had a lot to witness on foot. We clicked pictures all the way to the top till we reach the fort. There is a museum too. It's beautiful. We paid for the camera and I am sure the price was worth it. In... More

Very well maintained fort. They also offer self-guide options (places are marked and one can rent headphones with recorded explanation in several language). A must visit place in Jodhpur.
