I met one of the owners who knows his business well, Gian believer Navarin Bhandari. He and his brother have had the spice and tea shop for 10 years. There 50 varieties of both teas and masala (mixed) spices. I was recommended by a chef to purchase Kashmiri chillies which are the hottest in India! Navarin mixes the spices himself... More

Great fun to smell & taste the special spice blends and exotic but essential spices to make Indian food. Tip: if getting amchoor (mango bark) they have whole bark and powder. Both can be frozen to ensure no bugs are hiding inside.

We visited this store recently on a trip to Rajastan. Our friendly tuk-tuk drivers took us to the store after we asked to go to the clock tower area. On arrival there we 'happened' to meet the chef from our hotel who was buying tea and spices for the whole hotel for the week from the store. We went in... More

Hi, I'm from Italy, I liked this shop. Shop assistants are very kind. They sell special tea and spices. It's very difficult to find the same tea like this but if you want to order it you have to pay by bank transfer and from Italy fees are very expensive, therefore I ask Maharni Spices' shop to introduce credit card... The collection of spices and teas are very tempting and smell is very fresh. We bought many items and we found some of them later on with half price in the old city as well. So bargain well, be careful.

If it's spices you want this place is great. Wonderful selection of spices, teas, fragrant oils and more. We should have bought more.

I found Maharani to be quite expensive and the spice mixtures were pre-made so I wasn't sure how fresh they were. Better spices are available in Delhi.

We stopped in to this spice and tea shop as it was highly recommended. The variety was fabulous as was the smell and the taste. We are on a multi month journey and did not want to carry spices and teas across multiple jurisdictions. Shipping was offered for a nominal fee.....I'll admit, based on other experiences in India, I was... More
