Now I read a lot before I visited Jaisalmer and Gandhi Chowk Street was like the Johari Bazar of Jaipur but it isn't. Now Jaisalmer is a very small city, just 6 kms stretch and less then 100,000 population and the amount of traveler coming here is much more then that. Gandhi Chowk Street is just and the only a... The place is colorful and has lot of photographing options, but the not for candid s. Once you enter into the core streets there are chances of getting lost, so make sure were you... More

This chowk is the heart of Jaisalmer. With shops and eating joints surrounding this place, you will always come here when you are in this town. Hanuman Chowk near it is also another busy place here.

Extremely dirty place to visit with no sign of cleanliness. There's hardly anything that would pull you to visit the chowk.

nothing at all for the tourists...except the cattles on the road, dirt, stinking smell. Pani puri in jaisalmer is a complete no no. market inside the fort are much better to shop.
