Jaisalmer.. the name has it all.. Golden sand, the sound airforce planes and the warm breeze! A great place to be.. The route itself Is enjoyble.. long vast barren roads with absolutely no vehicles. Too much commercialised. To much crowd. You feel like you have come to a fair. The camel guys annoy you like anything to get one camel ride. You pay 300-400 for a small ride. The Sunset view is very good but with so much crowd the fell of the place is no more there.

The sand dunes of Jaisalmer are just so mesmerising. Especially the camel rides and cart rides across the dunes on a wintery sunset evening. Its something one must not miss when in Rajasthan. Very enjoyable for kids as well.

The dunes are the most beautiful. Nothing short of what you would have seen in multiple cinemas. Climbing up and down the dunes gives a wonderful and memorable experience. A few tips: Do not roll down the dunes so as not to allow the sand to get into your eyes. In case you are staying in a resort, MAKE SURE... More

Want to see some sand dunes, you should visit this place. Talk to your Camel cart operator and he will suggest that you need to go a bit deeper in the desert to enjoy the dunes. We took that advise and we are glad we did. Away from the normal touristy spots, we enjoyed the sunset from the dunes further... More

This was the first place I could actually find sand dunes in Rajasthan. I just loved it, the camel ride the safari ride in jeep etc. An awesome experience ending with a night stay in desert.

Must visit on your trip to Jaisalmer. Ideally plan to stay overnight at one of the tent resorts at Sam village. You can experience endless view of sand dunes and a camel or a jeep safari on sand. Magical experience.
