(Actually visited November-December 2009) There is much more to the pomp, palaces and arid splendarity of Rajasthan – perhaps the archetypal images of India abroad – and niche operators like True Luxury Tours are revealing this ‘hidden India’, making available different experiences and perspectives on the famous princely state. I just loved being at Jalore: it is quiet, peaceful and a great rest in the middle of a fascinating, but hectic 4 weeks tour of Rajasthan.
