The tour of the ashram was filled with a sense of peace and purpose. There were no waiting lines, but you must go in barefoot. They are closed in the afternoon.

Interesting to sit quietly in the garden and watch the vast numbers of young and old file past and some kneel at the samadhi of Sri Auribondo and his mother. Lovely flowers. A well stocked shop.

Really unfortunate to receive so rude behaviours from the ashramites. We had been lucky to reach the place during lunch and we were offered langar (free) meals from the ashram. Since its more like a prasadam, lets not talk of the menu. Whatever it was, if someone is offered food, it must be palatable. Dont know of others it was... More

No body is allowed to speak loudly in the premises so it is very quiet and peaceful place. It is very popular with devotees from all... More

I think this is one of the most serene place I have visited in a long time. The place is extremely quiet & well kept. You can sit close to the samadhi & do some meditation. Excellent place to visit especially in the morning. Pl note that the asram for outsiders opens at 8 am. Better to go early in... More
