I traveled to the temple, only to be disappointed that non-Hindus are not allowed in. I knew I would not be allowed in the actual temple, but this also means, not inside the walls surrounding the entire complex. You can get a glimpse of the temple from a platform, but expect to be made to pay from the Pandas. There... More

Bhubaneswar also known as Ekamra Kshetra was proud to enshrine one crore Lingas from ancient times ,of which many have gone a stage of disintegration in the process of modernization. But still there are a number of temples for which the city is well known internationally . Bhubaneswar is named after lord Tribhubaneswar , also known as Lingaraj . This... More

The architecture is superb. Very delicate work on stone. The fine symmetry of temple caught my eye. Surprisingly enough, I dint see any shivling (I was expecting to see a huge shivling due to the name Ling-Raj) What I saw was a low flat granite with water oozing from below. The temple priest frequently mopped the water with a wet... More

A regular pilgrim temple with lots of busyness and chaos but overall darshan was easily accessible without too many priests hassling me. More

An attractive temple which stands and still holds of idols. Many temple around Odisha (Orissa) were destroyed during the Moghul Kings taking over. This temple with its massing stone structure still stands tall and holds the idol. Visited by Indian Hindus. There is small replica of the temple gives us the idea that they made a rough model before constructing... More

Temple was fablous and was very peaceful. But the pujaris @ every shrine asked you for money and it makes you feel that you can create a sanctum sanctorum @ your own home and you can get more inner peace there,. More

The temple - and the complex - are awesome! The Trust that manages the same is lousy. Photography is not allowed - beautiful wall-reliefs and statues stay outside the eyes of the people who wd hv loved to see them ! A tough-looking guy pesters tourists on the platform built for photography for donations ! Electrical wiring hangs across the... More

The Temple structure and archtecture is one to be admired. Sad that photography is prohibited. However you can go round left from the outside of the temple and capture some nice images from the viewing platform. It is free. Do not be misled my the so called guides and priests who promise you lots. You can view the the temple... More
