I visited this place early in the morning at 6.30am. It was beautiful with very few people and the shops had not yet opened. Surprisingly, there were already about 5-6 photographers courting business.

It is located on d outskirts of Bhubaneswar while going to Puri. There is nothing much as such. U need around 40 mins to explore it including photography. It is located at a height u will feel like going through a hill. U can see the entire city from here.

It is an easy day trip from Bhubaneswar on the way to Puri. Sit and take in the breath taking views of a rural river bed while enjoying the calm and cool breeze. There is plenty of history to be learnt about Emperor Ashoka, Kalinga dynasty and early days of Buddhism. You will not be disappointed. The region can be... More

You will be surprised when your eye catches the monument. It looks like a recently constructed building though it is a very old stupa. I deplore the attempt to make this Buddhist stupa look like a temple. The lion statues placed four sides are now original. Though it is a stupa the Bramins have turned it into a place of... More

Nice place. Clean. Must visit on a weekend. Also has various stalls outside for cold drinks, chips etc. Kids will enjoy. Parking is sometimes a pain.

This is a must visit place in Bhubaneshwar... It feels so calm and peaceful. Just the fact that you can go here, and walk around silently, or sit on the steps calmly, makes one feel the peaceful-ness and calmness of this place. Seeing the place the kalinga war was fought, also reminds you of how once this place must have... More
