The hill has two things to offer. A Budhist Shanti Stupa and a shiva temple. Both places offer a great view of the Bhubaneswar City. There are roads leading to both places and you don't need to hike up the hill. If you reach the Shanti Stupa by your vehicle, you can walk over to the Shiva temple, and if... More

These are right next to udaygiri caves. Be prepared for a smallish trek uphill. Again this is a place I consider locals frequent.

If you visit Puri, this is a must visit attraction on way to Bhubaneshwar. The white stupa has Buddha in various postures in all 4 directions in the stupa. It has moderate crowd. No fees for the attraction and it is photography friendly. The view of the surrounding is beautiful from this hill top. If you are a Buddha lover,... More

Dhauligiri is a beautiful place. The Buddha Statue is nice architecture. The view from the stupa is marvelous, the hill side view surrounded by the farms and a river view, Oh such a beautiful view. The small market for dry fruits is also there. You can buy some dry fruits from here.

Had a lovely experience at Shanti stupa. The place has very significant history about Samrat Ashoka and the famous Kalinga war he fought. There is a river flowing by - you can experience cool breeze, calm and peaceful environment away from the rush of the city, to sit and enjoy the scenic beauty of the place. Recommended to visit in... Dhauli Giri hills is maily famous for the shire of Lord Buddha. It's a dome kinda shire. There are four different Buddha's statues in four different poses. Since it's on hill top one can enjoy there scenery from above. Looks like someone is watching a painting. The scene from up there is indescribable.

Dhauli Hill is one of the best tourist attractions located in Bhubaneshwar. Around the hill is the historic place where the Kalinga war was fought. We comfortably got parking space as our trip was in the morning. The place is little bit crowded with tourists. The Shanti Stupa (Peace Pagoda) built on top of the hill is the centre of... More
