The Santhi Stupa is situated on a top of a hill. To reach there I have paid 2 tolls, but the road is very narrow and vehicles are jammed at the parking area. Buses were unable to take a turn properly. you have to climb the hill from the parking area. The Bhuddist temple below the stupa explains the culture.

You have Buddha statues on all four sides on the top of Dhauli hill. Beyond history of Ashoka dropping weapons after Kalinga war, this place is really nice for taking pics.

This place is very easy to reach and the ride on top of the hill and back down is cool. However, there is an alternative route (only for two wheeler) which is serene, less crowded to this hill top through the farm lands. The route is as follows, instead to taking the turn towards dhauli into the dhauli road, one... More

Dhauli giri hills is of great historical significance in Odhissa. Located almost 20 kms from bhubaneshwar town, the hills is a silent abode of history. Ashoka Sthuba and Shiva temple are adjacent to dhauli hills. One can have a view of dhaya river flowing line vein of the hills, which has greater historical significance. One can also have a view... These hawkers sell goods such as; khus khus, chashew nuts and other dry fruits. Whilst the package looks good from the outside it really is filled with husk! Please I... More
