Peace full place. But large number of travelers make it inconvenient sometimes. The backyard view is outstanding.

Dhauli is about half an hour drive from Bhubaneshwar. The main attraction are the 4 giant size sculptures of Buddha depicting the life and works of Buddha. The Dhabaleshwar temple in the same complex also adds colour. However, beware of the priests, they start chanting mantras and before you know you will be made to do a lot of rituals... More

The Stupa of Buddha on the Dhauli Hills with caves are marvellous and worth seeing. But keep a lot drinking water on your trip

not so ancient but very nice place to visit. dont miss the ashoka rock edict which is preserved on the way to dhauli monument.

this is located on the highway (on the way to puri). This is a place where king Ashoka renounced violence and decided to spread message of peace. View of Bhubaneswar from this place is very good.

a Place you can visit of the peace of mind, calm and quite with beautiful nature surrounding all sides, Place is well connected and mostly used for dance festivals, were people from different part of world participate.

A buddhist pagoda built on the Dhauli hill to commemorate the great Kalinga war where emperor Ashok changed his thoughts and embraced Buddhism. On other side of the hill is a big Shiva temple. From the top you can see the flowing Daya river. An unique place to both revisit history & spend time in sight seeing.

A buddhist place with a temple in remembrance of Kalinga war after which emporer Ashoka adopt Buddhsim.Its 15km from Bhunaneswar city.A must visit place

A must must visit place in the outskirt of the town near Daya river where emporer Ashoka fight with ancient odisha army and the devastation and destruction of the war makr him leave the wat of war and adopt budhisim.A wite Pagoda made in the memory of this war in the top of Dhavalgiri.
