It is a zoo with nice concept - quite a large area - do take a guide (please ask for government approved ones - they have identity cards) - the safari entails a long queue, though worth it. Having visited many sanctuaries and national parks, it did not have too much to offer - but I understand that it would... More

The Nandankanan Zoo is not only the most visited zoo in the country, but is also one of the largest. It was the first zoo in India to have a safari within the zoological park, which increased its popularity. It has numerous species and the animals are well kept. Most tourists visit this place to see the white tigers.
