This is avert famous tourist attraction in Odisha which attracts hordes of tourists throughout the year . The place is pleasant and certainly worth a day's outing with family . But don't get impressed just by what it is , try to figure out what it could have been if it were managed better . This will give you some... More

prepared to be disappointed if you had been to this park 5-10 years ago. the number of animals, especially the big cats have reduced and many cages are just empty. But it is good for children as it is the largest zoo and has quite a few activity. the best, of, course, is the safari in the lion and tiger... More

I visited this place a long time ago while in school and it remains one of my most memorable experiences till date. people have seen tigers, but looking at a White Tiger is something else which cannot be explained. Its similar to watching Taj Mahal in Picture and in person which are totally different experiences. Apart from the usual stock... More

The Nandankanan Zoological Park is a very large zoo spread over 1000 acres, the zoo was damaged in 1999 by the super-cyclone in coastal orissa. This zoo is located near the capital city Bhubaneswar. Many animals are there like white tigers, crocodiles, monkeys, etc. we liked the safari.

The Nandankanan Zoo is extremely impressive, with a huge collection of animals in wide enclosures. Of particular interest is the collection of big cats: lions, Royal Bengal tigers, and white tigers. The safaris allow one to see these lovely animals from up and close.

I went to this park with a lot of enthusiasm and expectation which were all belied. Half the cages were empty and what ever species we saw looked totally drugged. The promise of providing natural habitat to animals sounded a farce in this natural park. It is best for couples to spend time and not one for animal lovers.

I like the safari. Hardly 50/- for the safari. They will make u visit the lion safari, bear safari, dear safari and tiger safari. You will find lot of peacocks. Lot means lot as if they are the owner of that jungle. The main attraction here is the white tiger and the royal bengal tiger. Ropeway does not work here... More
