Good for sight seeing and a bit of trekking. Good after rains. Wear shoes with grip and jackets (not umbrellas)

Must visit to view the sunset & Sunrise. Calm & quiet place to sit for hours. Driving is fun around the area because of the terrain & view.

Panshet is a lovely place! It has boating and kayaking options. It is not too far from Pune. Sinhgadh and Panshet can be covered in same if started early morning. We liked the sunset view. Water is also bit clean. Food is not so good but there are other resorts.

Panshet is a beautiful place! Entire family liked the sunset view. It's around 60-70 KMS from Pune and the drive to this place is also beautiful. The facility for toilet is pathetic and the only canteen/cafeteria served below standard and unhygienic food. The authorities should develop this place more. I would like to book accommodation in nearby resorts for at... More

Panshet Dam, also called Tanajisagar Dam, is a dam on the mula-mutha river about 50 km southwest of the city of Pune in western India. The dam was constructed in late 1950s for irrigation and, along with three other dams nearby, Varasgaon, Temghar and Khadakwasla, it supplies drinking water to Pune.
