Small and quiet dam

Panshet Dam is one of the many dams surrounding Pune. It is small and has a backwater that is shared with the Varasgaon dam.

A nice place either for couples or an office getaway. It's fun too stay overnight. You have small hotels and guesthouses in the vicinity with decent accommodation and good food.

There was no body there and no commercialization. We spent an hour there and liked the view and calmness. On way back we went to place where water sports are there. Didnt do... More

To start with !! the drive to this place .. spectacular .. lush green fields and moderately dense forests .. two ways to get here .. one via hinjewadi and the second via nda road - enroute khadakvasala,,, take the khadakvasla road as the road thru hinjewadi is not recommended .. must visit during the monsoons... lot of water sport... Been there twice. There is a MSTC guest house and there is a dhaba style eatery. Tried the latter. Nice pakodas and lunch. The place is quite scenic if you go during monsoon..otherwise its okay. The road is okay except the last 500 m or so, which has potholes. Parking is no problem. Some water sports like boat rides etc... More
