I've been to Mulshi many a times as it is a quick drive from the city... been to the dam once, it is okay, mostly too crowded in monsoons... better option is to go for the lake... If you are not sure how to reach there, visit Paradise Cafe - 10 mins walk from cafe and you are at the... More

21st early morning we left for this place from Pune to enjoy a bike trip. It's some 46 km from Pune. Though monsoon hasn't arrived completely in clouds give you enough cover from the Sun and make the journey a joy to ride. Clouds hovered atop mountains. Mulshi lake (though not at its peak) with mountains in the background still... More

At the end of the dry season there's not really that much to see. I imagine it looks much more impressive with water burtsing over the top of the dam wall.

The Mulshi dam is located outside the city limits and can be visited on the way to Sinhagad Fort. It offers a good view of the Sahyadri hills (Western Ghats). It is a good place to visit during sunset or even a day trip after the monsoons when the surroundings are lush green. It can be avoided on weekends as... More

If you are widely travelled , you would have seen better water views than this one. I can't comment if this is the best local fare. I heard from locals of "hundreds" of water falls during monsoons. Be it so. But this was summer. And the water was low. No wild life. Not too many bird life. Bad roads. No... More
