for devout hindus must visit if you are in aurangabad, being home to one of the sacred shiva linga. though the temple is not very grandoise but the spiritual experience is of its own. can be very crowded on some of the days.

Very near to Ellora caves. Must watch for Shiva devotees. Not much of a queue. Carry your own things to give water to Shiva. Males need to open there shirts before entering the temple.

Very powerful experience. Read the story of the Jyotirlinga before you go, open you senses and let yourself experience what is there with full respect to the local religion. This is one of Shiva' sacred places.

It was the last of the 12 Jyotirling my parents had to visit. And, they had a nice darshan. The temple, which is similar to Trayambakeshwar Temple in Nasik, is clean and well maintained. Grishneshwar Jyotirling is situated at 18 kms from Aurangabad. One can add world famous Ellora Caves, just 1/2 km from this Jyotirlinga, in their tour. That means devotion and archology mixed journey.

In Hindu religion these temples are the most sacred ones, and you can notice that with security measures, big queues and prohibition of photography. This one was luckly not so crowded as other ones thay I have visited. Men must remove their top clothes before entering.
