This fort is amazing and is worth the trip to see it. We went to have a look at the fort on the way to the Ellora caves. Wear comfortable shoes because it is a long walk but worth the climb right to the top. Take lots of water and try go early in the morning before it gets too... More

The fort carries a very strong history. Once the capital of the whole India. The fort was captured Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The fort has some amazing trap points, that makes the fort simply invincible. The Mendha Gun at the top of the fort offers an amazing view. More

Fort is good. Walk up to the Chand minar is tiresome in the hot sun, lots of dust, nothing great about Chand minar as you are not allowed to climb the minar. Lacks visitor comfort (no drinking water, no good place to eat). Can we not do anything more than preserve what exists? More

I liked the whole trip. Just the steps are very tiring. There is a wonderful Mosque called the Jami Masjid, This was built in 1318, There is a tapering 30mt high tower faced with Glazed Tiles, and Carved Motives More

It is really amazing to see the plan, different hubs ,meeting halls, masjid, different doors , the different types of paths and misleading and confusing paths to confuse invaders from reaching the destination and the fort being surrounded by water making it inaccessible during emergency. There are 5 solid door entry before you actually start uphill for the main parts of the... More

I along with my family members visited this fort in month of May 2011.This season (summer) is not recommanded to visit (unless you are familiar to this temperature)as the temperature is very hot @ 41 degree centigrade. This is 900 years old fort and still in better condition .the structure and the arrangements inside the fort are really amazing. However you... More

The fort keeps on showing it's marvelous aspects on each visit. This was my 5 th visit to the fort .The guides are wonderful with a detailed information about the history of the fort. Sadly the proper parking, food and toilet facilites are missing (to expect the same from the govt.is a mistake itself) More
