We were expected something smaller. What we found was something huge and majestic and worth exploring. We walked all the way to the top. Wear comfortable shoes because it is a long way to the top but well worth the walk. This is a must see if you are in Aurangabad. More

An interesting place. Try to go on a not so hot day as it's a very dusty place. More

Very impressive site with 5 levels of protection and a black laberynth before reaching the top. Indians use it as a place for pic nic thus is very dirty. Try to go on Sundays as the atmosphere is more relaxed than other days. Be prepared to climb to the very top More

A fort of forts you could call it. Can imagine what tempted Muhammed Bin Tuqlaq to shift his headquarter from Delhi to this place. Very stategic protected fort all carved out of stones and strong stone walls and a steep climb. The wonderful part is the moats, labrynth chambers and escape routes when enemy attacks. Be ready to climb 900... More

Daulatabad is located at a distance of 13 km from Aurangabad and is on the way to Ellora caves. Its named Daulatabad by Mohammed Bin Tughluq, who moved his capital here from Delhi. Fort is situated atop hill, its a long hike on ramps and stairs so be prepared. You can sit on the way and enjoy the view. In... More

We just love visiting Forts and Palaces and this one was just awesome. Unlike most forts this one is cut out of a rock and not just built on a mountain. Be prepared for a good trek, so ensure that you are wearing comfortable footwear and carry liquids and not to forget Torch and your camera. Torch - coz the... More
