The highest peak of the Maharashtra deccan plataue stands tall in the way to this picturesque hill station. We drove down from Devlali another charming hill station via the national highway followed by a much narrower state highway. The route was full of waterfalls and lakes with beautiful tree lined road. Lovly place for 1 night stay , short stay. we stayed besides the water in Tent. We are arround 12 people travelled to the place from Aurangabad.Mr. Keshav Vasant Khade was the tour operator in Bhandardara. Service is good.

Really tranquil. If you want to have a vacation doing nothing but just spending half a day on meaningful exploring and then just being, then this is the place. Bhandardara is village in MAHARASHTRA IT’S 180 KM’S from Mumbai.Very near to Nashik. River Pravara Passes by here, on same Bhandardara Dam is located. Extremely bad roads. Not recommended in sedans or hatchbacks. please have SUV to go there. Perfect time is during monsoons. Dam is no good to watch but lake is nice !

This place is heaven, near to Mumbai (140 KM). For Biker, it is Breathtaking Ride and never before experience in weekend. This can be day trip however one night stay is worth. Went to this place from Mumbai in a cab. It was an undiscovered gem in the middle of nowhere. Obviously the time to go is the monsoons when there is lush greenery and countless waterfalls dotted around the ghats. This place is heaven in Maharashtra for bikers. I've been to Lonavala, Malshej Ghat, Matheran and few other places on bike but the drive to Bhandardara was never before experience. The best part is that for almost 120Km you need to drive straight on Mumbai Nashik Expressway and then with just one right turn your journey of "actual" bandardara begins.... More
