Visited Neel home stay nearby Bhandardara, We were a group of 14 . We enjoyed the location all located within the farms. Had ample greenery. Nice service was given by owner Mr. Prakash. The nearby mountain is available for trekking , within a proximity of 5 kms is the pravara river good for swimming. This location is close by to... More

I visited Bhandardara on 13 & 14 sept 2014. I stayed one night in MTDC resort. I travelled from Thane to Bhandardara by my car. Road condition was excellent till Ghoti then ~25 KM above average road and last ~3 - 4 km is really bad. Roads around bhandardara is also in bad shape so be ready. Now coming to... More

Important thing first... if you are staying in Maharashtra, add this place to your 'must visit place during monsoon' list. For last few years I was always planning to visit Bhandardara in monsoon but it never materialized. Finally, this year I could get a booking in MTDC resort and I could visit this one of the most beautiful places in... More

It's really surprising that there exists such a beautiful unspoilt, unpolluted and secluded green heaven at apx 2300 ft height, and so close to Mumbai. Most travellers rush to either Lonavala or Mahableshwar on short holidays instead of a much better place like Bhandardara. Such a nice valley that offers a splendid view of surrounding beautiful Sahayadri mountains (including Kalsubai,... More

It was supposed to be a days drive. I had read about the place but never imagined how cool it can be. Waited for the monsoons to set in and that's when the fun begins. I landed here with a plan to see the Wilson Dam and then stay at nasik as it's close and has cheaper options. However the... More

We visited Bhandardara in the first week of August, when it was raining quite heavily.. The place gets quite cold in the rains and very windy too.. while the dam itself and the Arthur Lake are ok places to see.. its the drive around bhandardara that seems simply a drive in heaven.. not only the greenery is something to be... A real prize location. A hidden gem I had no idea about. Very few tourists, really scenic and beautiful locations, one of the best examples of the boundless beauty of the Konkan. I loved the numerous waterfalls, the running streams, the babbling brooks, the luxurious greenery, the abundant superfluous nature that soothes the soul. The place where we stayed was... More

Bhandardara is a drive of 25-30 kms from the Mumbai - Nashik Highway. The scenic beauty is a treat to the eyes, with white pearl waterfalls, and the earth shaded with different green colours. The drive upto the village is eye refreshing. After reaching the village and driving towards the dam you feel tired, as it has been long. But once you reach... More

Kalsubai Peak is the highest peak in Maharashtra that defies gravity at 1646 meters. Its supremacy materializes in the form of a dome - shaped temple where Mother- Goddess is worshiped. There are many routes to the summit, but the most common one is from behind the Hanuman temple, yes! this trek has two places of worship at its two... More
