Went to this place from Mumbai in a cab. It was an undiscovered gem in the middle of nowhere. Obviously the time to go is the monsoons when there is lush greenery and countless waterfalls dotted around the ghats. We trekked up the highest peak of Maharashtra (Mt Kalsubai) and it was an out of the world experience as we... More

This place is heaven in Maharashtra for bikers. I've been to Lonavala, Malshej Ghat, Matheran and few other places on bike but the drive to Bhandardara was never before experience. The best part is that for almost 120Km you need to drive straight on Mumbai Nashik Expressway and then with just one right turn your journey of "actual" bandardara begins.... More

When it comes to monsoon drives, Bhandardara is definitely one of my favorites. The 162 km drive from Pune to Bhandardara is absolutely enthralling with lush green fields, water bodies and waterfalls all along the route. As you approach Bhandardara, you can spot the Wilson Dam from a distance. The beautiful Arthur Lake and the Dam are the main attractions... More
