Lovely clean environment. Beautiful place to refresh yourself. about 190 kms from Mumbai. A very nice experience of the local and village life. We went in August, hence a lot of Greenery all around. I felt it was a better choice to go to Bhandardhara than going to Lonavala and getting stuck up on the way with landslides. You need... More

Bhandardara is a nice cool place. We visited in 2004. at that time, the only good accomodation available was MTDC cottages. We spent 5 days in Bhandardara. We did boating & went to the Shiva temple. The Shivlinga there is almost drowned in river water practically the whole year. We visited a spectacular place, Wilson dam. The umbrella falls are... More

Last time we visited Igatpuri and Bhandardhara, there were lots of fogs and many waterfalls at a stretch, sadly this time there were hardly any waterfalls due to low rainfalls on 15th August. The roads are decent however there are many potholes in some patches for few kms. Its a 2 hrs drive from Igatpuri. The best place to stay... More

It was a nice drive situated off Mumbai Nashik highway. The place is good to spend time, the only drawback is that the roads are shoddy and bad nearly for 5 kms. Else its a good place to be on the dam with nice heavy breeze

Full of greenery and in the middle of a natural ecosystem, it is a great place to visit for a quite and peaceful retreat from the hustle bustle of Mumbai. I visited this place always on my two wheeler and I assure you that you can enjoy and absorb this place only of two wheeler or an open four wheeler.... More

Although this place is not as well-known as hill stations like Mahabaleshwar or Panchgani, the very fact that the highest peak in the State is close by in itself will attract enough tourists. This destination is unspoilt probably due to the fact that it is not too well connected - the road connecting this village with NH3 from Ghoti Village... More

as we stay in nashik, we do visit bhandardara almost every monsoon. the right time to visit is in august/sept when the dam is overflowing on the road. cross the main dam site and keep going towards randha falls. just round the corner you will see two small gates made to control the flow from the dam. next to that...
