Beautifully carved sculptures on this another small temple among the eastern group of monuments make it a masterpiece. The temple dedicated to the Vaman Avatar of Lord Vishnu

This is one of my favourite temples in Khajuraho, up there in terms of quality with what you will get in the Western Group. Unbelievable...I don't know what more to say. The size, the shape, the dimension, the carvings...I could go on and on, but it could never touch on the sheer beauty that you are subjected to upon seeing this incredible temple that is close to 1,100 years old. It is just amazing!

Before visiting here I had no idea that Vishnu sometimes liked to descend to Earth incarnated as a dwarf called Vaman. I had never heard of any Vaman temple any where before. This one has huge statue of Vaman Avatar of LordVishnu very ancient and diffrent. Must see
