The train was punctual and made only three stops between Jhansi and Agra. Luckily I was sitting with my wife on one side and a young German tourist on the other. However, others in our party had people who were coughing on them and we were all separated. They served a spicy tomato soup- forget that. The station at Jhansi... More

We took this train from Jansi to Agra. We were in the air conditioned carriage. The station at Jansi was disgusting. Rats running everywhere, people urinating on the platform. It was not a great experience and we were glad to leave. The train itself was ok. They served a curry meal, which we declined. We accepted the free bottle of... More

This train was difficult to book from outside of India, but once I took the time to follow the steps shared on seat61.com I was very impressed by this train. I booked in executive class, which comes with a very delicious breakfast, including tea, cereal, an omelette, fruit and water. I was very satisfied with the level of service and... More

When my kid asks me what is the meaning of the word impossible, I think the best way to explain it is to ask him to try register and and book a ticket on this (or any other Indian) train. I did everything in order to register, I even used an Indian friend's registration and password to book a ticket... More

Had a recent trip form Bhopal to Delhi in August after our IHM Bhopal Alumni reunion. I had booked in Executive Class, The coach is nice, lot of space, seats are comfortable. The only let down was the food, It seems they have no control whatsoever on the quality & portions. It was not average but bad. Earlier they use... More

Well I cant comment on the process of purchasing tickets independently as this train journey was organised as part of our tour of North India but I can say that it was a great experience. walking through the masses of local people with all eyes on you certainly high lighted you as a visitor amongst the locals with quiet/ shy... During my last annual vacations, I visited Nainital in December 2013. I travelled on this train from Kathgodam to Vasant Vihar (New Delhi). This was my third journey on Shatabdi Express. There is good space to put your luggage in this train. Seats are very comfortable. Kids had a very good time in this journey. The staff were very concerned... More

Used the Shatabdi express from Chandigarh to Delhi was a fairly good experience, the coach was clean, enough luggage storage space and suitable food provided on board. We arrived punctually at our destination. Will probably consider using it again

Very disappointed with Shatabdi for allowing its customers to be extorted while ON the train by their own staff. I can't blame this company for the touters who rob tourists out of their money AT THE STATION, but allowing its employees to do the same while onboard the train is despicable. The cost of my trip from Jaipur to Agra... More
