In general train was good. AC is working, food is good, not many people, only foreigners. We were taking the train from Agra to Jaipur. Staff was very nice first and service was great. Later, after dinner they brought the book for us to write a review. We gave positive review for everything, and commented below that staff is especially... More

Once we had survived the chaos of a New Delhi station and found our seats on the Shatabdi Express it was sheer enjoyment! We were travelling in first class which was very comfortable with a drop down table similar to an aircraft arrangement with two seats each side of the central aisle. We had early morning tea and biscuits soon... More

We took the 6 am Shatabdi Express from Delhi to Agra . Setting off at six sharp, we settled into our comfortable seats which were pre- booked ( by our travel agent ) . It was a comfortable ride, with excellent breakfast service and unlimited tea/coffee. Arrival at Agra station was on schedule. All in all a smart way to... More

Taking the train from Delhi to Agra as part of our VJV tour gave an taste of Indian railways and the stations. There had been thick fog and so many trains had been delayed, causing many people to miss their connections. The platforms, at 5.30 a.m. were therefore smothered with people asleep and shrouded by blankets. We felt very sorry... More

We took the train from Delhi to Agra as part of the Virgin's Rajasthan Tour. It was a very early start at 5.00 is the morning, we had seats in the executive class. The carriage was on time, spacious, very clean and air conditioned. We had a full breakfast of cereals and milk, banana, some sort of omelette and tea... More

The train was punctual and made only three stops between Jhansi and Agra. Luckily I was sitting with my wife on one side and a young German tourist on the other. However, others in our party had people who were coughing on them and we were all separated. They served a spicy tomato soup- forget that. The station at Jhansi... More

We took this train from Jansi to Agra. We were in the air conditioned carriage. The station at Jansi was disgusting. Rats running everywhere, people urinating on the platform. It was not a great experience and we were glad to leave. The train itself was ok. They served a curry meal, which we declined. We accepted the free bottle of... More

This train was difficult to book from outside of India, but once I took the time to follow the steps shared on seat61.com I was very impressed by this train. I booked in executive class, which comes with a very delicious breakfast, including tea, cereal, an omelette, fruit and water. I was very satisfied with the level of service and... More

When my kid asks me what is the meaning of the word impossible, I think the best way to explain it is to ask him to try register and and book a ticket on this (or any other Indian) train. I did everything in order to register, I even used an Indian friend's registration and password to book a ticket... More
