I agree with all other reviewers, the quality is impressive, the owner helpful and patient and the experience totally hassle free and pleasant. Shop hard to find, first day asked a couple of locals who were vague so took a tuk tuk from the top car park which was easy. I would highly recommend this shop. I did not bother... More

This place was recommended by a local. It is the first time I could take my time and look around and the owner is very pleasant and only speaks if you ask him a question. The shop has so much choice! Everything is clearly labled, you find silk, silk and wool, pure wool, linnen, cotton and different grades of pashmina.... More

This is a wonderful shop, set just behind Varkala Beach hotels and night market stalls. If you are looking for a well made and fairly priced pashmina or scarf then this is the place to go. The owner will bring you coffee whilst you make your choice, he doesn't hassle and will leave you to make up your own mind... More

Since Shalimar Weaves had 100% Excellent reviews on Trip Advisor I was really excited to go there. It was a very nice shop, the owner was sweet, and the prices seemed fair. But it was pretty limited in what they had to offer. If you want anything other than a shawl or scarf it's not there. Other reviewers talked about... More

To shop in arelaxed atmosphere, no haggling and dealing with superior products was such a relief . No hard sell, and great customer service. The items have been dispatched to my home adress, I saw the postage receipt and I have had an e mail with tracker number to follow.Completely trustworthy. Thank you John

Since reading the excellent reviews on the Shalimar shop here, I decided to visit it. Did not regret it! I love the quality of the fabrics, and that you can find a lot of different single-coloured pashminas, as I am not that into patterns. Shalimar John is a friendly and modest guy who will let you look at the shawls... More
