is wonderful beach, 7 km north from varkala beach, once you are there you will feel alone surrounded of fisherman small boats and few kids playing sometimes on the beach, back of the beach you have one corner of the backwater channels, you could go by walk in 1 hour and half or by local bus by varkala temple junction,... The beach being not projectd as a tourist place is almost clean. The road that divides the sea and the lake gives a set of fantastic views. The road has little traffic which enhances the experience. A good detour if you are looking for alternate and pleasant route from Varkala to Kollam.

The Eduva beach to Kaapil beach stretch is an absolute beauty. One can get to see a clean beach. The place is unexplored still. The moment you see the beach you'll have a pleasant feel. Dont miss this place and don't add litter.

Although it is quite quiet here we weren't over excited by the scenery. We opted not to take the boat trip as have already been on an excellent backwater trip in kochi and also visited the Golden Isle , perhaps if we had visited here first it would have had a better wow factor. We walked along the beach but... More

A breathtakingly beautiful place where you get to see a serene backwater lake on the one side and the gorgeous ocean on the other. The journey towards Kaapil is refreshing and you will be forced to stop and take pictures every 10 steps! Thats how stunning the place is! There are no shops or eateries around so it is best... Deserted place but extremely beautiful. The lake on one side and the sea on the other. Definitely worth a visit. However it's very hot and no real shade nearby so please pack some caps.

this is the best beach to have your privacy. Close to Varkala Beach and yet soooo clean, empty and peaceful.

A little over 10 kms from varkala beach is this wonderful backwaters and its estuary where it joins the sea. A must try activity here is the 'KTDC (kerala tourism) backwater boat ride with various options. They will take you around the lake depending on the time chosen for nice ride. If time permits and you're ready for some exercise... More

We visited this lake twice in our trip. The entry near the lake/beach resort is very scenic for the quick photographs. Some private operators stand there and can take you for a boat ride in the lake. But it is recommended to hire a boat from government office which is near to the Kapill Bridge. The lake is quite big... More
