Great place to be in

I have been to this place multiple times. It has great scenic views and good for photography. This is not undertaken by any tourism though. Needs to be well maintained.

It's very calm and quiet sight seeing place where you can go for a visit those who seek a peaceful evening. This is the place where nature at its unique beauty.its also a worth to... More

There are two parts to this place, one is the Kappil beach and other is Kappil lake. Avoid visiting this place in the afternoon as it would be hotter out there. We enjoyed Kappil beach in the morning and it was clean n beautiful beach. There is single road which divides backwater and sea so it's mesmerising to view the... More

this lake goes just next to the road..! u can feel driving with the waves at times. Very clean and picturesque view awaits you here :) The only missing I notices was lack of restraunts around the lake. I drove to Kaapil lake from Varkala cliff via a peronal rented activa. There are hotels on the cliff which offer you... More

Kappil is one of the most scenic beauty in kerala where the sea n back waters merge together. Sadly the only hotel there was not seems to be badly managed and not functional now

We wanted to get away from the crowds of Varkala so rented scooters to take a look at Kappil Beach and the lake views. I would highly recommend making the journey, even by rickshaw, as the beach is prisitine and almost completely empty. The surf is good as well, and the current isn't as strong as at Varkala. It's also... More

Lake Kappil near Varkala is not only huge and with a diverse variety of birds to be spotted along its shores n waters. But is one of the cleanest water bodies . We spent an hour in a boat and it looked like we were the only ones there...limited licence for boats has helped keep the waters clean and for... More

Took a rickshaw from Varkala. There was nobody on the beach and it is a beauty. The colour of beach is black and yellow, backwater connects to the sea and it is a very calm and peaceful place to hang around. There are no cafes or restaurants so take something to drink with you.
