Unlike Kovalam, this place is more peaceful, with less disturbance. The breeze is very pleasant and the waves are soft.

Just go there, you have to travel a lot of ups and downs, as it is 500 m from main road. As u are heading towards it, you will hear very loud sound, like a lion is roaring, and yes The Chowara is calling u. You may find it difficult to reach there, and u may want to go back... More

The beach at chowara is a mess and it was sad to see that in gods own country the people of the area did nothing to clean up. It has so much potential

It's difficult to rate Chowara beach as parts of it (the parts outside of the hotels) are very clean and lovely. Other parts are an environmental nightmare with discarded plastics and other litter. The beaches in Goa were definitely cleaner.

The calm and isolated location and the scenic setting makes the Chowara beach an excellent place to visit. Not at all commercialised.
