It's 27 km from kozhikode railway station, approximately. You need to take bus at crown theatre to Tiruvaganoor, charges ₹15/-, from there auto charges ₹20/- to Kappad beach. Direct Auto charges ₹300/- to ₹400/-. I found not much crowd like that of kozhikode beach. There is a canteen that sells drinks, biscuits, water and chips. Toilet for ladies and gents,... More

It was when we visited Kozhikode for a wedding. Kappad beach. I never been to this place before and no matter how it looked, we wanted to visit this place for its historical significance. It is the place the Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama landed on 20 May 1498. There is nothing much to do there. The main area is... More

This is far better a beach than calicut's main one. Clean , well-maintained and quite untouched - you can find many big and beautiful crabs in this place. nothing much to do - just relax in the sun and listen to the sound of the waves.Still- dont miss if visiting calicut.

The beach exactly resembled the one at Kozhikode. But not much crowded. The beach was clean and well maintained. A calm place to sit and relax and spend time having fun.

Kappad Beach was not as crowded as Kozhikode, and it was possible to find quiet spots at any time of the day. You did not have to worry about hawkers or beggars, because there were none. There was also a bit of security in the form of a lone policeman sitting in a small booth. Quite a pretty little beach.
