The church is undergoing major renovations and as a result, is mostly closed. You can see where Vasco Da Gama'a body was originally buried (since moved to Lisbon, Portugal). It's really nothing great.

For me, the quiet environment is the plus point of this church. Should sit in the church and feel the silence around. In conclusion old, quiet and historical church.

We visited this place, but there is nothing special to see, except the tomb of Vasco de Gama (but his body is not there, it has been transported to Portugal). The interest of this place is to be close of the chinese fishing net and the Duth palace

The outside of the church was very nice, with a well kept garden. Unfortunately the inside was under construction so did not get a good view of the altar.

A good historical place where you can see the impact of time passgae on it due to which it is under renovation currently. In curent scenario, it is wastage of time to visit. It is near to Cochin bach and chinese fishnet area. It is very old church but the architecture and the insides have not been retained as such... More

Just a simple church, nothing great about it. In India, we have hundred of more beautiful churches than this one. Just a over hyped tourist place....

After watching the skills of Chinese Fishing net, here in Fort Kochi, we moved towards our next destination; St. Francis CSI Church, the oldest European Church in India. The ambience here, as it should have been, was composed and quiet. Apart from experiencing the divinely feelings being be inside the church, the tomb of Vasco Da Gama is also here... More

This church originally built by the Portuguese is now a part of the Church of South India. Its original Portuguese altar in in the nearby Indo-Portuguese Museum. Things to look out for: old Dutch and Portuguese gravestones, including the first resting place of the corpse of Vasco da Gama; hand operated punkahs above the pews. Interior is a little gloomy.

It's a simple church, the "tomb" of Vasco da Gama is not much of a sight. Historically it is of course an important place but we spent probably not more than 10 mins there.
