Never forget to visit cherai beach. Its one of its kind. Waves are very high and fast. Never venture deep inside the sea. Enjoyed our visit. Always visit with hired vehicle because its far away from kochi. You will not get any vehicle while returning.

Take the ferry near the Chinese fishing nets in Fort Kochi and the bus on the other side. People will tell you where to get off and rheneither walk a good mile or take a tuctuc. You will find a long stretch of guarded beach, with sun umbrellas to rent, if you wish, a street behind it and some restaurants... More

Chirai beach was a big disappointment. Having travelled almost 25kms from Fort Kochi, I had anticipated a clean and cheerful beach to look forward to. However, the beach was a disappointment and the sand not so clean. Can be given a miss.

This is one of the famous beaches in Kerala. It has a nice view and the best time to go is during the evenings. The view of the sunset is a must see. Getting in the water is subject to the climatic condition. There is also a lot of food available around.

After spending a few weeks in India, we only had a few days to spend at a beach and this is where we found ourselves. It is a casual, relaxed place which is enjoyed as much by local families as by tourists. For us, this was a plus. It is NOT a resort area although you can get excellent spa/massage/yoga... More

Had a very nice time here. Beach is calm and clean. Beautiful view. Our driver took us through one route where the road is surrounded by water. It was awesome to drive from there.

Beach was really clean, but is not safe during the nights due to lack of lights / security folks. So please make sure you dont stay in the beach after sunset as it is not crowded. You can enjoy a good swim and sun bath during morning hours, a walk on beach enjoying the sunrise will raise your spirits, a... More

Sitting on the beach and watching the sunset is very relaxing. There are few shacks serving snacks and chips. Please don't expect vendors to come to you to sell their goods. That happens in Mumbai not in Kerala. So you cannot sip coconut water while enjoying the sunset!
