Cherai beach located in ernakulam district is about 12-15 kms away from the paravoor kavala, from the national highway. The roads are well maintained, and its worth visiting this beach especially to see the sunset. You can play with the waves, just take some caution with yourselves. Sunset is an awesome experience and you can fly kites which is availbale... More

My beach stay was very peaceful time spent with family. Nice and clean beach. The best I have seen in India so far.

The best bit of the Cherai beach experience was the journey. We went as a day trip from Fort Kochi. We walked to the ferry, took the ferry to Vypeen/Vipin Island for just r3. We couldn't see a bus stop, so walked with the locals and soon found ourselves in the right spot. As buses pulled up, the bus conductor... More

A visit to Fort Cochin is not complete without walking along the fishing nets, seeing the men clambering along the wooden beams and scooping out the latest catch. Make sure you walk up to the where they sort out the latest catch and see the array of fresh fish being sorted (slightly uncomfortable viewing watching the poor fish wriggling to... More

The beach is approx 30- 35 km from main city. The road is narrow and it takes one & half an hour to reach the beach..Ordinary is the appropriate word to describe quality of water/ sand & infrastructure.

With very few travelers around, it is easy to find a quiet spot and enjoy the sunset with some tender coconuts or raw mangoes at this beach

Fantastic Sandy beach, sea is a bit rough but great fun. Good pier at mouth of river where we saw dolphins and porpoises ( at lunch time). We were on a scooter so we're able to explore the back waters and drove the full beach road. Good cafes to be found.

A very beautiful beach, not populated, very serene. You can get a glimpse of dolphins in the water if lucky. Locals can be a pain but reckon that is manageable.
