This private collection is well worth taking the effort to get to. The museum is created from ancient temples and houses and includes over 5000 artefacts. The displays are a little crowded but no shortage of things that will delight and entrance.

It's private property and nothing special about it, it's small and there is no guide or much details available of stuff kept there. Can be avoided.....there are better places to see and spend time in Kochi.

Definitely worth a visit........ Lots of artefacts but one of the best bits is the building itself. Quite expensive to get in compared to some other places

Go here just to see the building itself - Keralan architecture at its finest! Once you get beyond the doorway, you'll find a wealth of interesting artefacts and a BEAUTIFUL old theatre (top floor). Unfortunately we were in off season, but they do shows here during peak.

I know that this is a very special art but I found it boring to watch 4 men on stage apply make up for an hour and then perform a very old form of drama enacting a folklore story. My travel mates were more impressed than I was and there were many people in the audience taking lots of photo's.... More

This is a museum put together by one man. The staff are very informative and passionate about the collection. They are self funding and rely on revenue generated by visitors to stay in buisness. It is well worth a visit and not too far for a Tuk tuk ride from Fort Kochi.
