Its scenic and you can enjoy getting into the water as well , its was relatively less crowded than malpe beach when we... More

Some reviews I read, complain about hassling boat rides to St Mary's Islands. With this review I would like to help the readers to have a hassle free boat ride to St Mary's Islands - IT ALSO NEEDS CO-OPERATION ON YOUR PART. The situation at the boating stand - There is unhealthy competition between the boat drivers to make as... More

Blue sky & bluer sea with white sand. What's not to love you ask? *Accessing the place through a ferry where the owners do not allow it to go unless it's full with 2 times its capacity. * Irresponsible tourists throwing all sorts of junk in the island (no dustbins here) Your best bet is to take a smaller motor... We stayed in Paradise Isle and boat rides start right in front of the hotel. The sea is normally choppy and the boat rides are really fantastic. It is worth budgeting and spending half a day on the sands and also ride the water scooters. The water raps at you quite literally. Plan to leave early or wait till sunset... More

Very nice place for family and couples. It's located in between mangalore and udupi and one of the best island for fun. After 9am is best time to visit, u have to travel with ferry or small boats to reach this island. Carry your food so that you can spend more time.

A 45 minute boat ride from Malpe takes you to the island which was first visited by Vasco da gama on his trip to India. Beautiful island with scenic spots. The basalt rock formation is amazing.

If you can figure out the best way to get to St Mary's Island I am sure you won’t be regretting the visit there. There is no clear cut way to get there; you need to talk to the locals to guide you. Once you get there, small boats are available to ferry you across the sea. The boat ride... More

I love to climb ... trees .. rock ... hills ... mountains ... So it was fun climbing the rocks. But going there was a little tricky. Read my blog for detailed bus map to the island. http://gypsykerung.blogspot.in/2014/04/how-to-reach-st-marys-island.html
