It to small. Only one painting to see inside which is amazing 180 views of that. Avg maintained. Not good not bad to visit
I visited Tipu Sultan's fort and palace during my recent visit to Bangalore. The palace is said to be the summer palace of the Sultan. On display are a few items like the Sultan's portrait and the missiles used during the wars with the Britishers. Also written are a few facts and figures which are worth a read. Overall rating... Extraordinary to find this palace in the middle of the maelstrom that is modern Bangalore where so much is swept away so quickly! Good introduction to the history and culture if the city. More sad is the remains of the old Bangalore fort which just seem to be a bit of an obstruction in the road - go to Devanahalli... More
I was expecting a lot when i heard palace, but all there is to see is an antique building that was used as a summer time palace by Tippu Sultan. The architecture of the building is remarkable and allows wind flow through all of the building areas at all seasons. This leaves it almost very open though.
This Fort & Palace was the Summer residence of Tipu Sultan. It was built by Hydar Ali and is very beautiful. A small museum is open for tourist. Inside the museum, you will see Tipu Sultan's clothes, armory, etc. Definitely recommend to the history buffs. Sundays are usually closed to tourist.
It was a week day yet there were quiet a few people to see Tipu Sultan's summer palace. I was visiting Bangalore with my parents for my mom's treatment. My dad and I are always fascinated by history therefore, it was the two of us. The palace was small compared to our general idea of a palace. It was clean... More
The KR market is not for the faint of heart. It is a huge mash up of people, cows, stray dogs, auto rickshaws, motorcycles, scooters, buses, autos, trucks. AND it is very crowded. Luckily, my driver and expert guide, Girish, escorted me through the mazes of goods. It was wonderful! I could have spent DAYS shopping there! All the venders... More
Prices are 5/- for Indians; 100/- for foreigners. Had to pay a lot for auto guy to take us here and there was not much to see. The palace is poorly maintained and few portions of the first floor is in a very bad state.
Visited this place a couple of weeks back. Very small Palace as compared to the ones we see in Rajasthan or Mysore or even Bangalore Palace. However if you are a history lover then this palace should be in your itinerary. There are only 2 guides and without them you can complete sightseeing including a couple of photosessions within 10... This place is nice & has intricate carvings. It does not have the majesty & splendor that one might expect of a Indian King but looks more like a tea party house. This is in comparison to some of the other palaces I have seen in India. The price is a bit too high for this but ok for an... More
