Boating is a possibility here. A visit to this lake can be combined with a visit to the nearby Gurudwara (Sikh house of worship), Bangalore’s largest. « less

This is the example of Bangalore's once upon a time beauties, destroyed by ignorant and selfish people. More than a lake it looks and smells like a massive garbage dump. Water is very dirty (as city black waters flow into it) and trash is all over the place with storms of mosquitoes (you know dengue?) and insects. Actually it is... More

The premier water body near the MG Road area has suffered neglect in recent years. The water is brackish and dirty and the place can be a mess as a result of idol immersion during Durga puja and Ganesha Chaturthi. There is a track around most parts of the circumference of the lake for walkers and hawkers sell small eats... More

I went there for a morning walk in the morning. The jogging track was good. But the maintenance of the lake is very poor. In morning you can see army personals doing kayaking and it looks good. Overall can be improved a lot and can be made a good tourist attraction.

Nice jogging / walking track around, but its too crowded and the lake is smelly due to pollution. but its good that some water body exists in the concrete jungle in Bangalore.

Nice lake view and close to nature. Boating closes at 6 pm so do visit before that to enjoy boating.
