Boating is a possibility here. A visit to this lake can be combined with a visit to the nearby Gurudwara (Sikh house of worship), Bangalore’s largest. « less

Ulsoor, or Halasuru, is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in the city of Bangalore. It is located in central Bangalore, and begins roughly near the eastern terminus of MG Road. It is renowned for its numerous temples and rather narrow streets

One of the most beautiful lakes left in what used to be A city of lakes. Sadly, though the walking path has been extended to go almost all around the lake, its not paved and quite rough in patches. The premier water body near the MG Road area has suffered neglect in recent years. The water is brackish and dirty and the place can be a mess as a result of idol immersion during Durga puja and Ganesha Chaturthi. There is a track around most parts of the circumference of the lake for walkers and hawkers sell small eats... More
